Thanks for being open about your personal life Christina! Health and happiness is the most important thing with work and lifestyle. It sounds like you've got that down! Your work and your videos here I believe you're an positive role model to many! And sure you'll have that small business of your dreams later on in California, married if you chose to (I hope the guy you're with is the one) and you'll make an great mother too if you chose to! Maybe your upcoming Carter film will be highly successful that may lead you to Hollywood! I'm impressed with your acting skills I've seen, very convincing and a natural! I love that you're an confident, young woman that always goes and gets what you want, many people including myself would love that quality. I'm crippled with social anxiety 🙃. One last thing, I don't know anything about electronic dance music and I was surprised there's so many genre's within this genre you enjoy! I hope you enjoyed the event you went to over the weekend! I actually enjoyed the stories you've shared about it, looks like a lot of fun!

You ever plan to travel to another country or you are settling in Korea? I mean, one can plan alot, like myself, but life is so uncertain, we can plan this way but then something shows up or happens and throws you off and before you know it you are changing your plans or adapting in accordance to whichever your direction was or still is. Like do you have a goal you are working towards or do you just go with the flow and see how it goes? Any little plans or one big major plan, and goal?
@ChristinaDonnelly2 жыл бұрын
I have thought about living in another country, especially would love to live in Taipei, Taiwan for a little while. But it took years to build the connections I have in Korea, so going to another country may be a little difficult work-wise. Right now my goal is to build my portfolio and hopefully can take my experience outside of Korea as well! Thanks for watching~

I'm not vegetarian or vegan but I 100% respect being either or for ethical reasons. I've given up all land animals and even farm raised fish. There's def a disconnect with myself and fish, I don't feel the guilt I do with any other animal. Not saying I'm right at all, I actually feel guilty for not feel guilty eating fish. I also grew up in Charleston, S.C. USA so I was desensitized to fishing my entire life. But going full vegeterian is always on my mind.
@ChristinaDonnelly2 жыл бұрын
It can be a struggle cutting meat and fish out completely, but I think as long as you reduce your intake of animal products it is a good step in the right direction! Even just not eating meat one day out of the week has a big impact. I recommend slowly starting to cut down and learn new recipes and restaurants. Makes it much easier to transition!
@mmaqueen42982 жыл бұрын
@@ChristinaDonnelly yessss!!! The hard part is recipes and coming up with things to eat. Western society has socially conditioned us to eat and think meat. I know there are plenty of non meat things to eat out there but I was socially condition for so long, in a certain way, it's almost hard to be an independent thinker when it comes to food. Social conditioning is real. Aka brainwashing but people call you a nut job if you use that word. Thanks for the reply and you're a sweetheart here and on world friends.

1:40 That's a 30 years long story. I'm wondering how many pages a book would have, if every little detail would be included in it. And at the end everyone would be upset that it ends with a completely open end. End. What an honor that germany is the first country that came into your mind to visit. But i would recommend to travel not only to Berlin but to visit a bit more outside of it. Staying for to long in Berlin is not really a good thing, the behavior and manners of the people are pretty bad, the city is dirty (lots of trash). Most crimes per inhabitant in all of germany (understandable as it's the biggest city). Other nice places would be the Schwarzwald (Black Forest, beautiful landscape), Rügen (biggest island north east), Harz (mountains in central germany with cliffs and caves) for nature. For urban regions Stuttgard (southwest near the Schwarzwald), Ruhrpott (referring to a lot of cities and towns very close together at the rhine river) and munich
@ChristinaDonnelly2 жыл бұрын
I definitely left out a lot of details haha. It would have been a very long book! Thank you so much for the recommendations in Germany! My friend is currently living in Berlin so I plan to visit her, but will definitely visit other places as well. I'll take a note at some of your suggestions! :D

As a Californian with matrilineal Boston Irish roots, I guess there are more similarities than I realized! I was surprised to learn you were involved with Japanese as well (which is my second language, though I can see how Korean seems appealing too. After all, they're both purportedly Altaic languages [even if that perspective is a bit controversial in large part due to history and politics. Linguistically the hiragana, katakana and hangul orthographic syllabaries are extremely similar phonetically, though Hangul was invented more recently]). I will say, that if you do come back stateside, as much as California has going for it, there are a lot of downsides too. The 22 year drought that the Western USA is struggling with seems pretty dire unless we get lots of repeated rains and snowfall to restore aquifers and rivers and reservoirs (there was a John Oliver Last Week Tonight episode on such themes recently which was comedically informative on such troubling concerns). At least personally, having attended a concert in Portland in April of this year, I'm strongly considering moving northward. Sure the winters are a little colder, but the water isn't an issue and Portland purportedly has more vegan restaurants per Capita than any other city in the USA! Not to mention it felt a lot greener and I'm awfully weary of urban density from myopic urban planning as found all over California's myriad suburban sprawls. However, the Japanese American population is larger in California than in any other state. Admittedly I think per Capita there is probably a denser population of Japanese Americans in Hawaii? That's maybe less of a concern for you, but personally I have no plans to move to Brazil (which has the highest concentration of individuals of Japanese ancestry outside of Japan). Maybe I could move to Japan someday rather than merely visit as I have in the past, but again I'd probably prefer somewhere more rural, and maybe a bit further north such as Hokkaido as heat and humidity as are common in Japan's summers are likely to wipe me out with my frail prone to sunburning constitution. I will say, though my travels have been somewhat limited, Berlin was pretty awesome and has an excellent nightlife and a lot of great electronic music, though west coast bass seems to hit a bit harder? The Netherlands was also wonderful to visit and I really enjoyed Taiwan too. Hong Kong and China and England all felt way too polluted for my liking and maybe it's the Irish in me, but anything with ties to England (even historically since here in the USA we're still stuck cleaning up so much of their disastrous imperial legacy) tends to rub me the wrong way (though the parts of Canada I've visited have been wonderful as well as most of the Canadians, I can't help but wonder if they wouldn't be better off abandoning the Commonwealth and the same is probably true of places such as Australia and New Zealand). Anyway, thanks for answering so many questions! It almost seems preposterous to me that your height when younger made you worry that no one would want to date you. Yet as you alluded to with your long lasting relationship with someone who is social media averse, you clearly are a catch and I get the impression some lucky someone feels the same and won't be letting you get away any time soon!
@stynershiner18542 жыл бұрын
Japanese and Korean are not Altaic. That theory is debunked already. Japanese is an isolated language with a lot of Chinese influences.
@ChristinaDonnelly2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for such a detailed comment! I have heard about the drought situation in Cali, which is unfortunate. Housing prices has sky rocketed as well so where I move would really have to come down to what job I'm able to land I think! Interesting you talked about the Netherlands, because it's also been high on my bucket list. I heard the people are very nice there and my dream festival, Defqon.1 is located there too. Thanks so much for watching, as always!

@@ChristinaDonnelly When going to the Netherlands, do visit other places besides Amsterdam. Most tourists only go there. There are so many nice cities to go to, and because the country is small everything is reachable by train in no time at all. Cities like: Alkmaar Delft Leiden Gouda Utrecht Den Haag Dordrecht. Are all very nice and reasonably close to A'dam. For a different feel both Breda and s'Hertogenbosch (Den Bosch) are really nice too. They have more of a late medieval/early modern feel. In Den Bosch try Bosche bol. If you like themeparks, defitnitly go to the Efteling. It won prizes for best themepark in the world a couple of times. Festivals are always good. You can get everywhere with English. Even most bookstores have a large English collection. When/if you go, hope you will have a nice stay.

Hi Christina. This was a very nice video. I'm honestly surprised that you are so much into different harder EDM styles since you are an Americaine and these are more or less European genres or genres popular in Europe when America prefers country, rap, rock, pop etc. I myself have always been into certain styles of EDM, it's the biggest of my three musical genre pillars (next to "Pop" and German hip hop). It started at the end of the 90s with Sash!, Faithless, Alice Deejay, Eiffel 65, Gigi D'Agostino, grew into Sylver, Lasgo, Special D, Brooklyn Bounce more "hands up / commercial dance music" stuff and then from the mid 00s on I started listening to Trance music (TATW, ASOT, GDJB). Not sure if you're into the same kind of trance as me, but I'm happy to hear that you like some trance. 😺 The other thing is that I recently visited Irland and also heard a bit about the tragic history of that country. At least Irland is now independent since almost exactly 100 years. If I remember correctly there are 4 million Irish people and 2 more in Northern Irland and about 70 million people with irish roots do live in many countries in the world. That's so cool! We really liked Irland and the (few) people we met were really friendly and open. And since it's a small country with a small population that has been through so much pain, I found alot of respect and love for Irland. 💗😊

I would say these genres are starting to get more popular in the states now, but 10 years ago the community was very very small! The DJs you mentioned are classics! Gigi D'Agostino will always be one of my favorites~ I have never been to Ireland, but I have made a few Irish friends here in Korea and agree that they are very fun and friendly people! Thanks so much for watching!

@@ChristinaDonnelly And did you try Indian food. Because I think if you are vegetarian or vegan then India is heaven for you. Because about 40% of India's population is the largest vegetarian in the world. So, you will get different types of food. Not only in vegetarian menu but also in non-vegetarian. I am suggesting you vegetarian because I assume you are vegetarian. So whenever you get a chance to visit India, definitely come. 😊🙏🏻
