These cloth videos are so brilliant, you are endlessly knowledgeable and it’s exceptionally useful being able to listen to you talk about the merits and intricacies of the cloths. Please keep doing these, they certainly don’t go on too long - more and longer, please!

I read your comment and I decided not to write one. You put it so nicely that it would be a waste of time to try to do something better! 😁Tom Mahon is a national treasure.I wish I could afford those clothes! 😭😭 (LOL)

Genuinely love this concept for videos. Sometimes I wish there was a follow up link the in description to see how does a suit jacket look from one of the presented materials. Sometimes for us with less trained eye the fabric can look a bit different when constructed into a suit vs roll of fabric.

Tom, your videos can go on longer. Just love them and the knowledge you pass onto us. I still have to get an appoint when you come back to the US in the spring and it now looks like I might talk my wife into joining me for a jacket or suit as she just got into the MBA program at the University where she's a physician at and will need a nice suit or jacket in her near future. Merry Christmas to the Mahon family and all the Redmayne's staff and a happy new year!!!

Absolutely brilliant video, Tom! So educational. Took me down memory lane to when I was 19 and my favourite aunt asked me in a fine mens's shop if I would like to be a tailor because I loved/love fine clothing so much. If I could go back in time, I would have done so :-)

*IVE JUST MADE* a 1910's pattern 3R2 lounge coat in almost exactly that "1950" cloth at 20:00 - I call it a proper "working class cloth" and I mean that in a GOOD way. It feels "honest" in the hand, its not finished like silk like a modern cloth, It has a "IM GOING TO OUTLAST YOU" feel to it. It was a 2m length I picked up in a second hand shop.

Nice cord coat Mr Mahon. I tried to obtain one just like it but had little success. Looks like Brisbane Moss 3124/601 in Tan 10 Wale. You obviously share my taste.

Our company (Redmayne 1860) made the coat. The cloth is a brown corduroy from a wonderful cloth company called Brisbane Moss. Our team would be happy to arrange an appointment if you were considering ordering your own. Please email them at hello@redmayne1860.com.

I enjoy your fabric selections. I have to say though that my personal taste goes more towards the “loud” so would be interesting for me to see some bigger patterns… restraint ant subtle are good but let’s see some bold and outrageous for a change please Cheers

Great Video Tom - Any cloth suggestions for a double breasted 2 piece for a 5’8 guy in mid fourties’ ? Something for work or social - no pins/chalks , timeless and English. I have one baby suit in heavy wool and one lighter suit in grey. Thank you if you have time to answer with all that cloth to cut Thanks
