Christmas Celtic Sojourn 2012: Mhàiri bhàn òg: Alyth McCormack

One of the most beautiful songs in Scottish Gaelic imaginable, and sung here by one of the language's most talented exponents. When Brian O'Donovan, producer of the show, imagined Alyth McCormack - who is from Lewis in the Hebrides - joining the 2012 cast, this is the song he imagined her singing for her introduction to the audience. Add in Seamus Egan's exquisite arrangements and the talented ensemble, and you have a true gem.
