I prefer red and gold, too! I've tried to buy some silver things, but I always end up not putting them out. My sister has a huge tree all done up in red and gold lights! It's gorgeous! I'm making nut roll and cookie dough tonight. I get my brother's goodies out by Tuesday for his party on Thursday in Delaware. I have put some things out now, but I'll lay out most of it Thursday night or Friday, then I'll do the tree on Saturday and Sunday. I'm done shopping! Yay!!!! I need to go through my bins and toss stuff, but it's very difficult to throw any Christmas stuff away no matter what it is! lol

Loved this vlog!!, I also have to have Red,Gold,Green, but other color's too. It reminds me of our Christmas's when I was growing up. My Dear,Sweet Mama passed last year on Valentine's Day and the Holiday's are just not the same. I Love family gathering's during the Holiday's, I have 2 grown daughter's and a granddaughter, Haley and grandson, Jaxson, they bring so much Joy to our Holiday's!!. I went to nursing school at St. Peter's School of Nursing in New Brunswick. Over the last 30 years, New Brunswick has gone through a revitalization. There was a time where a good part of it was not so nice. But, it has improved, and as a college town with Rutgers, there is always something going on.

I so agree with you! My decorations and ornaments have to be red and gild those are the colors we used to decorate in my childhood that's what makes it feel like Xmas to me I refuse to use any of those other colors like blue or purple I just love the red and gold gives me so many awesome meories

Laura, here in Australia we have thankfully just finished our cold/flu season (opposite to Northern Hemisphere seasons) and what your describing sounds like what most people here had. You would get chills running through your body, and then you feel as if its hey fever or your sinus but then wake up drenched , change your pj's and start all over again. You generally just feel ill. I had it 3 times and decided never to go near people again until Summer. Take care and if you need some sunshine or heat bring Bree, Mikey, Joe and yourself down here where its hot.

I can't imagine Thanksgiving without being surrounded by Fall Decor! Autumnal leaves, pumpkins, etc all add to the rustic tradition of the meal, IMO...Kind of like taking the tree down before Christmas in order to get ready for New Year's! :(

No need for a white wall - get a 10x10' bleached white muslin and a 10x10' frame and that works just the same. To show Laura's feet/shoes, get a longer muslin than the frame and drape it onto the floor. I work in video production and this is what we do for a white background, more affordable than a white cyc!
