In Belgium normally it takes at least 3 months after the approval of the bank (mortgage...) to officially 'buy' a house. There's a lot of paperwork involved between the lawyers and all of that...

I know what you guys are going through my husband and i are in the process of closing on another house.. i remember when we were getting 33 pages of stuff to sign and had to fax them all back and then i heard this little sound like something from an old video game do do doooo doo doo doo come out of the fax machine and it said transaction incomplete ! UGHH!! my husband had to do all 33 pages again.. Our closing date is Dec 12th .. i hope we make it (it had to extended as it was) (im always late with everything lol) I hope you love your house and it gets done right.. its horrible all the stuff they ask for.. im surprised they didnt ask what kind of toilet paper we used LOL

Joe.. you and my husband would be BFFs for sure! He is extremely techy (network admin- MCSE cert) loves gadgets and gizmos .. programs in a few different languages ( C++, VB, PEARL) and would love to talk to someone who speaks his language.. poor thing tries to tell me about the latest tech stuff and more than half goes over my head... lol im more of a crafty, cooking, DIY girl lol I really hope you guys get the house.. filanges crossed :)
