For the slow twinkle my mother in law taught me to get the most basic warm white Christmas light strand then buy replacement twinkle (or some brands say blinking) bulbs and then go in by hand and change out the regular bulb for the twinkling one. You can change out every 2nd or 3rd bulb which will give it a slower blinking look. It takes time to switch the bulbs but it is so worth it

Another great video! Everything looks so beautiful, Lauren! I went very traditional this year for the first time in years and I’m in love with how everything looks. I added 3000 micro lights to my pre-lit tree, but I was disappointed that the twinkle setting alternates slow and fast so I’ve been keeping them on steady instead. I’ve almost finished decorating, waiting on some wider red ribbon to wrap my cabinet doors like presents. My husband just got home tonight so we’ll be decorating our family tree together this weekend then it’ll all be complete.

Yes I bought a bunch of those Philips twinkle lights a couple of weeks ago when they were 30% off. We have a pre-lit from 10ft Home Depot that’s about 7 years old and I swear to you only half the freaking lights work now. Last year I used only incandescent twinkle lights on it because none of the led “twinkle lights” did it for me. So I bought one strand of the Philips back in October and figured I’d have to return them. Nope I fell in love with the glistening mode! So I used only 3 strands (last year 7) incandescent twinkle and used another 5 of the Philips on my tree and they mesh so beautifully.
