Hi Beau. It's pretty cool that you get the opportunity to participate in the holiday decoration for different family members. It gives you the chance to work out different looks. There is a superb Christmas shop in my area that is open year round with many different themed trees which makes for great inspiration for me. You can also achieve different looks in the home by having a smaller tree at the entrance to your home, or in hallways, a corner of a kitchen counter, bedroom, etc. It's a great idea to shop for Christmas decor after the holiday...just get it and add to your stash for future use. As a kid I always loved going to my aunt and uncles house. They always had a big live long needled tree. On the tips of the outside branches, the would shave off some needles to expose a few inches of bare brach and then take the hanging wires off a glass ball, and insert the brach into the ball. I thought it was such a unique way to use the balls in an alternate way. Cannot wait to see what you have in store for us next. Be Well.

Hi Gregory 🙋🏻‍♂️ it was a very fun project to work on while I spent the week with them for the holiday. My Uncle is partial to red, and it really is so festive...I can’t blame him! The trees I had in my home growing up were always red, likely why I chose to go for a more neutral white/silver in my own apartment 🤪 I love the sounds of your Aunt and Uncle’s tree...very unique and so eclectic! My tree and my family’s tree, though similar in technique, couldn’t be more different! I also wanted to show that it does not take much to revamp a tree from year to year - I am a huge advocate for building up a collection of ornaments and decor over the years, definitely using what is already available just reworked in new ways ☺️

We used to have a 9ft artificial tree and we would decorate it (well, I would decorate it 😆) each year that I lived with her through my late teens. Yeah! It’s genetic. Your Aunts stash gave me Marrakesh vibes back when Pier One was so exotic. I totally loved the tree w just ribbon & lights. But love all the Embellishments. Hugh fan of draping holly. Funny to be the family go to like having a Doctor in the family. My sister & I do my parent’s house. The joke is the florist sisters says more more I say enough for the perfect outcome. Lucky you a solo task.

Pier1 was the spot to shop, oh how I miss them during the holiday time! I’m so glad you enjoyed the tree, I too, love the minimalistic nature of just the deco mesh ribbon 😍 It is definitely a solo task in my home, but I always have the best time creating and the look on my Aunt/Uncles face when they saw the bug reveal was priceless! 😍

@@beaualexander7000 I’m so happy for you , I use to do interior decorating and I worked for Pottery Barn doing there visual I remember my first job there was to decorate four 🌲 trees before the store opened once they were done and the store was opened customers would love how they were decorated and would start taking what ornaments they liked off the tree to purchase them it seems so sad that you go through all that hard work and then it’s been picked apart LOL either way it was always fun and I enjoyed it very much.

Both trees are stunning! I love your vision and how you are able to bring the different sprays and picks together harmoniously. Quick tip: since this is an artificial tree you can gently twist the individual " arms " of the branches ( does that makes sense? ) around the deco mesh and it will stay in place. Just take two " arms " and gently twist them around the mesh once. This saves you the extra step of cutting the wire for each pouf of deco mesh. I do this with outdoor garlands and the mesh stays in place even in wind and rain storms.

Another beautifully curated tree, Beau! I stick with a similar color palette in my home when decorating for Christmas, and I adore the way that the tree turned out. It truly does look like what you would see in a high end hotel, or in a window display on 5th Avenue this time of year. Thank you, Mark! The red/gold is very nostalgic for me...my Mom and Dad always had a tree decked to the nines with red ornaments and ribbon, so it gives me all of the warm and fuzzy feels. I saw your tree, it is beautiful 😍 I think my affinity for Christmas tree decor peaked while in NYC walking through Bergdorfs or the Peninsula Hotel on 59/9...just so many luxurious displays to garner inspiration from! Wow Beau! Your family's tree looks spectacular. You definitely have the magic touch. I have to share that I spent the last few days with my parents, my sister and niece who live about 2.5 hours away from me. My mom was frustrated that nobody was helping her (my sister who lives there too) with fluffing the tree, etc. My mom doesn't enjoy doing it.. but she does it for her 7 year old granddaughter, my niece. Anyway, while I was there, I went shopping with my niece and daughter at Walmart. I picked up a solid ivory burlap ribbon and a matching one with moss green stripes. I have been watching videos on how to add ribbon to a tree as there are different styles. I figured out quickly that I was going to need more ribbon if I wanted to do my initial desire which was the waterfall. So I changed the style to ribbon twists/curls. I was able to add the curls throughout the tree with the 2 spools I had. My sister (who sat on the couch the whole time, lol) said... wow, our tree has never looked this good. :) my parents came downstairs and were so impressed with what I had done. :) my mom thanked me for taking the time to finish their tree and making it look so fancy. :)
