The moon faces the same direction as the earth because it is tidally locked. The side of the moon permanently turned away from us, or its dark side is the side we cannot view from earth. The moon indeed rotates, but it does so at the same rate as the earth's rotation - too many beers son 😂. Great tunes though - Pink Floyd oh yeah- happy Christmas guys 🎅
