I remember seeing the actress who played Minnie Caldwell dressed up much like she was in that play ( as a Victorian lady at a ball) in a bit part in a film long before Coronation Street - I cant remember what the film was called and have never come across it again

This is 1962 not 1968 because Martha Longhurst died in the show and in 1964 and Ena's daughter died in the show in 1966

I think this it was put together and shown on tv in 1968 looking back on previous events at various Christmases over the previous years

It is 1968. All the scenes with Martha and Vera etc were flash backs to previous Christmases

Its filmed in 1968. 1 of tell tale signs as the Rovers got its new pumps in 68. The large hand pump type were seen from 1960 to 68. From 68 till much later the various smaller box looking pumps were on the bar. Draught Mild and Best Bitter among others
