As a believer, Amazing Grace has been and still is a cornerstone hymn of my faith. Never did I ever expect a soul awakening version lay in my future seven months ago until I encountered a reel on Facebook that led me to Dan’s channel here where I fell down the rabbit hole. It’s always so delightful to find first reactions to his Amazing Grace as I get to revisit my own initial awe and I still get the scalp to toe zingers after all this time. I do think I hold my breath after the last note of the harmonica solo fades just so I don’t miss a single nuance of the reactor’s expression when Dan’s power hits. 😃 Other commenters have listed Christmas songs by Dan and all of them are so worthy of a listen. (Every time he switches up, I believe it's the same verse--if it's not, then he's doing them in reverse order, as the verse on which he ends, in English, is Verse 1.) Then comes the first time that he sings the chorus, which is ONLY the words, "Gloria in Excelsis Deo" (which basically means, "Glory to the Most High God."). Then he switches back to Verse 1, and sings it in German. Then again, the chorus is in Latin. Next is Brazilian-Portuguese for the third time he sings Verse 1. Then again, the Latin chorus. Then comes the shift upward, and the English verse commences in POWER, with the resounding Latin chorus at the end, that has been at least lightly metalized, with GREAT effect. Usually, done in a single language (no matter WHAT language), all four verses would be sung.and in between each verse, the LATIN chorus (the Gloria) would be sung, with it also being the finale as Dan demonstrated in this version.

His vocal range is Baritone to Male Soprano. He has videos of just about every type of genre there is. His versions of Burn Butcher Burn, Toss A Coin to the Witcher, Song of the White Wolf, Priscilla (All from the Witcher series, movies & game), are so incredible. Then he wows us with his version of Phantom of the Opera, Kiss From A Rose are also awesome then we go into his Xmas songs, Adeste Fideles, Angels We Have Heard on High. He also sings religious songs like Gethsemane. Some of his other songs are Battle Hymn, Sound of Silence, are so awesome. That's exactly what I've been thinking about when the new Christmas song will arrive on the scene. After seeing what Dan did with the Iron Maiden song "The Number of the Beast," when he didn't release it until..."Two Minutes to Midnight" (his time) which, of course, is another of Iron Maiden's very strong "warning" songs, I definitely wouldn't put it past him to do something a little bit sneaky for the new song. 😀

"Angels We Have Heard on High" four languages on the verses, plus "Gloria in Excelsis Deo" in Latin (that's the chorus after every verse, including the last one). The other song he has (besides "The Hallelujah Chorus") is Adeste Fidelis, which is sung in Latin. We use the tune for our English song, "O Come, All Ye Faithful." The words aren't quite the same in the Latin version, but similar. Dan doesn't have (yet, at least) a version of "Hark, the Herald Angels Sing."

This is the best version of this beloved classic that I will ever hear. There are several excellent suggestions in the comments below. Definitely check out more Dan Vasc. Dan has stated he is a Christian and put this song out for Easter. He is soon to release a new Christmas song so stay tuned for that. By the way, Dan never looks at the camera in this song. He is not singing to the audience. The closest he gets to looking at the camera is about 15 degrees to one side. As he gets deeper into the song, he closes his eyes. And as you will notice in other videos of his, Dan Vasc definitely knows how to play to the camera.
