I just watched a video of him talking about almost dying from Covid and getting Guillen Barre syndrome. He was at that point (3 years ago) walking with a cane and hoping to be able to come back to even full walking. He's come a long way in just 3 years!

Christopher Cross went through a double health whammy of a severe case of coronavirus followed by a bout of Gullain-Barre syndrome. These two conditions robbed him of the ability to speak and walk for a number of months. It’s remarkable that he made it back to the stage after that.
