God bless Christopher Hitchens! I had the opportunity to wait on him a couple years ago and told him that God Is Not Great was my bedtime book. I would read it each night until I laughed myself to sleep. He said that was one of the greatest compliments he ever received on the book.

I only recently found out about Christopher Hitchens condition and am deeply saddened. I have enjoyed watching him dismantle his opponents, with his razor like intelligence and depth of knowledge. The world will worse off without him. It may even be slightly more dangerous. I hope he recovers from what he is going through.

Regardless of ones sentiment toward Hitchens' religious, economic or political views, his intellect is to be greatly admired. I for one, as a professing fiscal conservative Christian, wish him the best in his struggle against his illness.

Case No. 1, A man with an almost hopeless case of Hodgkin's disease (cancer of the lymph glands) who was completely incapacitated. Within 1 year of starting the asparagus therapy, his doctors were unable to detect any signs of cancer, and he was back on a schedule of strenuous exercise.

While no man should be worshiped, I unhesitatingly think that we need more men around like Hitchens. His long fight against tyranny (his recent sieges against religion being part of that larger battle) and his dauntless sharing of opinions will be sorely missed. Thanks for everything you've done Hitch--you will be remembered and discussed long after you're gone.
