That depends on how long your trampoline is. I would only be able to fit one back handspring on my trampoline due to my height and the nature of the move (you should travel backwards). If you're looking to connect your back handsprings, it all happens when you land the move. To go into another handspring, you'll want to reverse block with your feet, landing in front of your body, so that you are sent backwards!

@lupuspotens6267 жыл бұрын
One way to learn it is by trying it with one hand and going around the side of your body, and straightening it out little by little until it's a proper back handspring. Pigmie made a video on what I'm talking about.
@zerathanech7 жыл бұрын
Lupus Potens so like a cartwheel, except you start over your shoulder, throwing you hands behind you?
@lupuspotens6267 жыл бұрын
Yes. Starting in a cartwheel will work. It is a frustrating experience, but with dedication and time you should be able to turn it into a back handspring.

Keep going to one side. Take of feels and looks straight, but I keep landing with my body twisted and hands angled. Tips to fix? And yeah I did learn it by going to one side and progressing. But I can't seem to fully straighten.
@joelthesupergamerboy84272 ай бұрын
Try to practice favoring the other side and lean a little to that side to help straighten out. Keep Both arms by your ears and do not throw your head back and push your hips and jump both feet at the same time and land on both hands at the same time. Keep your head straight and look in front of you as long as possible so you don't look to side or look back. Focus on throwing both arms with the same power and I recommend opening your shoulders and chest for developing mobility in the shoulders and chest and work on back mobility and flexibility. If you can do a bridge learning a backhandspring will be easier.

Chris, do you mind help me check my back handspring i have it on my channel at the rail flare progression, go to the end of the video at the outro i have a back handspring there pls see what im doing wrong?
@ChristopherTungFlips8 жыл бұрын
It looks good, but your back handspring is too high! In order to fix it, you have to change your roundoff landing. Right now, you land directly above your feet coming out of your roundoff which translates to height. Instead, you want to land your roundoff with your feet in front of your body (so closer to where you took off from). This should send your body backwards (so essentially over-rotating the roundoff). Then go into your back handspring. Hope this helps!
@evanjeoep728 жыл бұрын

It's hard to tell without a video, but sometimes it's best to take a rest day! Some days can just be rough - especially if your body is tired. Check out my video here for some pointers: kzbin.info/www/bejne/eX-wYaJvqN-mb6c

Does these tutorials aply to big people too?
@ChristopherTungFlips7 жыл бұрын
It really is relative! I'm not sure if a particular channel is still around, but there used to be this tricker who went by "No Excuses" who could do flips at well over 20-25% body fat.
@evanjeoep728 жыл бұрын
Chris i have problem with this trick i used to do it pretty good but recently mine downgraded, i have a problem with the landing i snap it down but no use it feels like i was jumping too high and weird but now i do the sit down and fall back drill it get better but still have a bit of the problem
@ChristopherTungFlips8 жыл бұрын
Keep practicing that drill! It's important to be trying to travel backwards in the move rather than up (this is one of the biggest differences between a handspring and a backflip). Additionally, snapping your feet down at the end of the move requires a lot of core/abdominal strength. Maybe doing some hanging leg raises to strengthen your lower core (or other ab exercises) could increase your power!

Hey, I've got a few questions: is 17 too late to begin learning tricking (with v. little experience in gymnastics), would you recommend a beginner to practice gymnastics first, and how long have you been practising both to reach your current level?
@ChristopherTungFlips8 жыл бұрын
I don't believe that 17 is too late! In my opinion, you should be able to learn either one first (or even both at the same time), because both have very different feelings. Tricking is all on an axis and focuses on kicks and swings, while gymnastics tumbling is more focused on jumping and blocking. Perhaps learn the basics of both (cartwheels and roundoffs & basic kicks like the tornado and 540). I've been practicing on and off for 5 or 6 years now.
