presents episode 1878 | DR CHRISTY KESSLERING w/ Jesse Chappus
Normal cells can use glucose when in anaerobic state
like heavy exercise--feeling lactic acid burn…
-at some point, brain says, let's get back into
steady state of letting mitochondria create fuel
using different pathways
Cells becoming more damaged is
usually mitochondria damage
Cause of damage?
-toxins from environment
-pharma drugs for chronic disease
-seed oils in processed foods
-refined grains, sugars, high fructose corn syrup
One who has broken mitochondria, is
in low metabolic condition, and eats
high carb and seed oils: this
compounds the problem
Cause of damage?
-completely sleep deprived
-may drive us to eat more ultra processed foods
-smoking
These things do take a toll on our cellular health
"I don't treat cancer like a special
disease--no different than getting
diabetes or cardiac disease”
-these are all mitochondrial diseases
Perhaps our genetics predispose us, that might affect
which disease we get, but all these chronic diseases
are from the same lifestyle causing damage root…
Cancer is not a genetic disease
-even from conventional perspective, only a few cancers
are linked to genes
-why do only some BRCA1 or 2 people
get breast cancer, others do not?
Because some are using better lifestyle: diet & tools to
optimize their mitochondrial health,
-they never get the disease
-we don't go that far in conventional medicine
-we say: oh, it is in your genes, so you are more likely
to get it
