I have a very dry mouth,tongue,and throat hard to swallow food.It keeps me from sleeping at night because my tongue will either stick to roof of mouth or the sides or back of tongue stick to the side of throat causing me to go into a coughing and gagging fit.Very scary thing sometimes.

Hi there, i was very impressed watching this video. I have both dry mouth and dry eye and they both came at the same time in January of this year 2019. The dry mouth keeps me awake alot during the night so i dont get much sleep. I also have a really dry throat too. I live in Ireland and if i thought for one minute that you could cure me i would be on the first flight next week to America. Thats how much i want rid of this affliction. Hi, Eric. According to Dr. Bier-Laning, it can depend on the reason for low saliva flow. If it's due to external beam radiation therapy, then no, this surgery may not be the best solution. However, if the low saliva flow is due to radioactive iodine therapy for thyroid cancer, then yes, it may prove helpful. Patients can have an evaluation done by a primary care provider and/or a rheumatologist to get an accurate diagnosis of their specific case. If it's due to external beam XRT, this treatment wouldn't be helpful. However, if it's due to radioactive iodine, it can be helpful. For other underlying issues, it depends. Omg! The same happened to me. On top of the dry mouth, I also have a burning sensation on my lips and tongue. The plaque is because saliva washes away bacteria etc.. this is so debilitating... The bad news is that doctors say it is not reversible. What have you heard?

The radiotherapy destroys your saliva producing cells, so I don't understand how an endoscopy could help at all, other then helping with stones and strictures.

Yes drink lots of water and then eat something that you like to eat and it will help moisting your mouth it will go away stay away from coffee too much suger try eating salty stuff. Eat soups warm stuff like that until dry mouth goes away brush mouth after every meal
