16:51 this is an interesting point on how early degenerative changes can happen in spines with instability. Thank you for this talk and bringing awareness to CCI and AAI.

So the typical pitch in the prolotherapy world is that even though ligaments may "heal" from injury, they never regain their original tightness, and will remain loose and compromised, short of getting injecting them directly with irritants or PRP. But it seems like you're implying that in some cases it's possible that ligaments will return to their original tightness once the spine is in proper alignment? Have you seen objective evidence of this, either in your practice or elsewhere? I ask because I have cervical instability and am trying to determine whether conservative treatment is even feasible, or whether dropping $20k on prolotherapy is my only realistic option. Thanks!

Youre one of the only Chiros that appear to understand ligament issues... and wow you know about Prolo too. You’re 1 in a million I have no long term release, but no one knows which ligament is an issue Want to really impress me, do a video on CXA, Grabb Oakes, ADI, BDI measurements and which ligaments are affected.

@@Driv300mph loaded question... I'm looking more into TMS (John Sarno) The long term stress I been under has caused so much vasoconstriction, this physical issues. - Chiro, Prolotherapy, Supplements all will do no justice if the kind is still clinging on to fear or anxiety.. I'm better, but as Sarno states the Ego will fight back, and so as 1 area got better a new area flared up. Psychosomatic training hurts a lot because it's getting in touch with our true authentic self

@@RobertLongM Ugh, yes. I involuntarily flinched and resisted, and the chiro forced against all of my strength overtaking (and torquing) my neck to the left.

wouldn't further manipulation just continue to loosen the ligaments and thus de-stabilize the spine ? I always feel better when I get manipulated but I continue to have a lot of snapping/popping in my upper neck and back & I get temporary relief from muscle spasms but they eventually come back. On a typical day, my neck and upper back probably snaps and pops upwards of 50 times. Wondering if prolotherpay would be my best option to tighten those ligaments? Or if loose ligaments is what is even causing all the snapping and popping?

A specific gentle upper cervical correction is a very different adjustment than a manual manipulation. Call an upper cervical chiropractor near you to find out more.

Kerry, Me Too!! Cricking and cracking that is Alarming. It's the Facet Joints. I have the typical C4-C7 herniations (according to the MRIs), but surgery was Not recommended by 3 Neuro / Spinal surgeons. Look at Caring Medical KZbin videos about cervical instabilities. Great info there too.

Aldo Matulich I would be hesitant of the caring medical route. The more I looked into prolotherapy, the more I realize that it’s a gimmick. I don’t know what is causing all this snapping and popping but I don’t think the ligament laxity theory holds up with actual science. Prolotherapy isn’t covered by insurance because it doesn’t provide tangible results
