This is why I love watching blind reactions to this. First the epic scene of Frog splitting the mountain in half, then the creepy atmosphere of Magus' lair, and the monsters posing as humans in it. It's all just so timeless to me!

Fun fact for the portion at 46:20, the path that leads you to Flea: the mimics of Crono's/your mom and Queen Leene being there are self-explanatory, since the enemies wanna creep out Crono and Frog. But depending on who you picked as your third party member, you get different NPCs to "get under their skin" so to speak. Marle has her dad, the King, as you saw. Robo has Lucca, basically telling him she's gonna turn him into scrap as I recall (really messed up) and Lucca has her dad Taban.

This was a great episode! Loved your reactions to Frog/Glenn and Ozzie ("you s.o.b."). The Flea fight is a fun challenge because their fighting style is completely different from anyone faced up until then. It's like spinning plates; dealing with getting hit with status effect after status effect and also finding time to deal damage.

I really do think CT was before its time with the lore and cutscenes. I was blown away but all the Frank (Frog) stuff.

Haste is an amazing spell. It's what, IMO, makes Marle rank higher on the list of party members, since it's her unique spell. Casting it at the start of boss fights for all three party members ensures the battles are more manageable.

13:40 Here, you need to go further left towards the screen to find another waterfall that will lead to the other chest as well, so you can get two special gears for the price of one. Good luck with Magus, because he's a pretty tough but well-designed boss. Remember to pay close attention to his attacks.

I suggest you do give Frog the hero badge, since it was meant for him. Also, the game really wanted you to go back to the end of time and teach Frog magic before Magus' castle, since you probably noticed how he wasn't learning anything new during your 100-enemy frenzy. EDIT: NEVERMIND 😅 you did give it to him eventually. This is why I should learn to comment after viewing the entire thing

Nah you’re fine! I like the sorta time stamped comment format haha. Yeah I see a few people commented about not getting Frog’s Magic but also the flow of the game kinda takes you story beat by story beat and that’s the flow I like rather than reversing course and coming back.

In today's episode: musical references, and a lot of them! Idk if Nirvana strike counts, but for Ozzy, Flea, and Slash, it kinda goes without saying lol. Fun fact: Their Japanese names, as I recall, are food puns: Mayone (flea), Vinega (ozzy), and Soiso (slash)

As the other user said, you needed to go further left at 13:40 to get the even better accessory that I last mentioned. It cuts your MP use by half. Also, sorry in advance if some of my comments come across as too backseat-y. I realized, perhaps too late, that it might be annoying. Don't feel the need to go back for everything, as some of the stuff you missed are just basics like potions and whatnot. I only mention the MP thing since its such a benefit, making it so you don't have to use up tonics as much.

all the art for the sprites and the animate cutscenes is amazing, hard ot to when the artist on all that was akira toriyama, the artist of dragon ball series

Whenever I replay this game, I actively try to get my characters to fall down those trap doors Ozzy opens. Fighting those fake/mimic aave points earns you free experience and TP, and they don't fight back! 😅

It would be a really good idea to go backtrack to the end of time and get frog's magic before next episode also magus changes his elemental weakness at random so remember to bring fire as well, I thought I already wrote this comment but it disappeared...

Barrier Spheres can only be used in-battle. I'll be honest....I never used them myself 😅 tho I'm sure they'd be useful for certain magic-using bosses.
