All I can say is: Amazing job on that second round against Magus! You persevered, figured out the general loop, and kicked his ass. And you did it with a handycap (Frog having no magic) which makes it a mighty feat 😮

Having Marle instead of Robo makes that Magus fight so much harder. Robo having his own party heal is great in that fight. Glad to see you enjoying this classic!

Loads to unpack here now: Magus is one of the best designed boss fights in this game, as each element he hits you with is telegraphed and accompanied by a message telling you which type of magic you should use against him. And his goddamn battle theme (literally called "Battle With Magus") is a *BANGER!* Yasunori Mitsuda and Nobuo Uematsu killed it with this game's OST. You did a good job figuring out what you can and can't do in this fight, like using the Masamune to lower his Magic Defense (if I remember correctly, Magus' Magic Defense will not go down any further once you've hit him once with the Masamune). Aw. It looks like you missed out on defeating some of Spekkio's other forms. Oh, well. I guess you'll have to try your luck on the fourth or fifth form. Not that they have to be done to beat the game or anything. 42:46 I think the reason for Frog/Glenn not telling Crono's mom his name is probably because the game assumes the player had not cut down the Magic Cave that leads to the Fiendlord's Keep (Magus' Castle in the SNES/PS1 versions) or just because still thinking about his real name just gives him PTSD over Cyrus' death. 54:55 Nice! You managed to find and get into a battle with the Nu. As you can see, it fights by setting a party member's HP to 1, and then, if it attacks that same party member again, it will do exactly 1 point of damage. Otherwise, it will attack another party member to set their HP to 1. They will always give 30 TP when you defeat them if you want to grind for new techs. 57:06 This strong ape-like enemy is called a Cave Ape. It has decently strong physical attack and has a counterattack where, if there is another enemy supporting it, like the Schist (Shist in the SNES/PS1 version), and you attack the Cave Ape first before defeating the Schist, it will throw said enemy at you. 1:10:17 This spot called the Sun Shrine is part of one of the few side-quests that you can do in this game and will only be available near the end of the game. Oh, and don't forget that you can apparently check the map in this game by pressing the [L] or [R] buttons (specifically what you assigned them to). 1:23:21 This Warp Room here feels more like trial-and-error, as each specific spot will teleport you to more specific locations, which I would highly recommend looking up a guide for. Luckily for you, you managed to get the really good chests that have armor. Nizbel II is a MUCH stronger version of Nizbel. He has 6500 HP, 127 defense, and 50 magic defense. His defense increases each time you attack him here, and it also seems that he has a chance of inflicting a random status on a party member, so it will be a tough fight. However, a trick that most speedrunners would do is simply spam Crono and Ayla's Thunder Chomp, because each time you use it on Nizbel II, it keeps doing more damage due to how lightning-based the move is. But at least you had some challenging fights for now. *Important Note:* Make sure to move your items around by putting things like Mid-Potions, Mid-Ethers, and Athenian Waters at the top of your Items to reach them faster than having to go lower during a powerful boss. Oh, but if I were you, I would also seriously stock up on more Athenian Waters, considering how little you have of them and how you keep having so many party members falling in battle. Good luck on Azala, because she has something that can really *cook* you up if you're not careful.

46:28 to be fair, you can also have Robo, who's partially a healer. That, and Frog has some light healing techs. If you had Lucca, you'd sacrifice healing, but you'll also make the fight go faster since you can counter whenevr Magus does fire attacks himself.

Yeah the game so far has a nice balance of characters who can be glass canons or allow you to turtle a bit.

Miles, if the prompts are too fast for you, you can set them at a lower rate (so they can stay on screen for longer) in the options. I'm 90% sure the steam version did not remove this feature.

It would be best to use frog but I'll give the warning of the next boss uses heavy damaging fire attacks and can one shot frog if he doesn't have fire resistance, things to do check out the weapon and armor shop before leaving this time period, and take Lucca back to her house to talk to her father when the opportunity presents itself and finally loved the bloopers you includeded at the end.
