Apparently, today’s automakers either or forgot or are thinking they’re smarter than high school economics teachers. In the law of supply and demand, if you reduce costs, you increase volume, decrease your price per unit and increase profits. Sadly, any executive now-a-days just wants to make the books look good one quarter at a time. In the short term, especially with newer products, high transaction prices look good but they’re not sustainable and in my opinion, permanently turn people off not only to the model but to the brand long-term. Most company execs only stay with a company a year or so so the long term damage of this process never impacts them. Sadly, companies and their boards allow this. I will say, given how ridiculously overpriced everything is, $41k for a minivan doesn’t sound as terrible as it should but most working-class people couldn’t afford it. In fact, the available list of cars they can afford, new at least, seems to be shrinking by the day.

That’s only if they can get the cost of making it down. And seeing only the Carnival has as MSRP under 40k and that’s probably because it isn’t make in North America.

I wish the Town and country touring addition was coming back I really like the look of that one better and the touring was amazing. Stow and go seating and ability to fit a 4x8 sheet of drywall is a must. Heated seats and steering wheel. Remote starter, and gps and power everything are in my 2016 dodge grand caravan RT Price tag was $21,000. We can do better.

Stellantis needs to bring back the Caravan nameplate and dump the Hornet and forget about bringing the Avenger to North America. The Voyager can be the no frills minivan and the New Caravan can replace the Pacifica which is at the end of it’s model life. If Stellantis could reimagine these two minivans as update version of their former models they might do well. Imagine a Fisker-ish Ocean minivan with the Penastar V6 and optional AWD with stow and go seating at an affordable price marketed to Young Families and Seniors with grand children it might be a home run!

Calling the 40k Voyager as base model will justify them charging 55k for the low end pacifica. They know what they are doing. They can't just increase the Pacifica price range but by introducing a 40k base model, now they have an excuse to charge more for the "non base" model.

I disagree, while led headlights are better for the person driving the car, to other drivers they are wayyy to bright and the cold color destroys your night vision faster. Unless they’re regulated to be a warm color and angled less intrusively onto other drives I don’t want them because they make night driving hell for me.

@@bulbman256 trust me, Led headlights a lot safer than halogens. Always need a led for matter what? LED headlights are not hell on anyone we’re in the future together LEDs way to go. They are a lot brighter is more and energy efficient. The time I was a teenager I love the xenon headlights. The time I was my 20s. I love led headlights. LED headlights will be there. Life means Life you can’t get out of it. Always will be there by 2030s or 2050s.
