@FelicityKing uhm, obviously, he only said that because he knew they'd believe him that. when actually, he's going to australia to find jack. and blair, because she just knows him too damn well, understood that code. i found that pretty clear, idk. i think they even made chuck say that line to point out he actually HASN'T been sleeping around like he always does when he's not with blair.

@FelicityKing he said it because it was such a chuck thing to say and he knew no one would ask him questions after it (except for blair who saw right through it). that's the way i see it, i thought it was obvious tbh. i guess not. and uhm, he hasn't had sex in weeks, i doubt he'd all of sudden have to go to NZ to a rainforest to have it, lol. and they did show him in thailand smoking something with hookers.

@FelicityKing I agree w/ Nellisz1. I also read it as Chuck saving face and giving a believable SL, but Blair knew better, which is why she went after him in private to talk to him. Chuck has obviously been depressed and not sleeping with any women because after 4x09, he has not been seen with any women, staring out of windows, & playing pool alone. It is a crass line, but the kind of line that would be believable, & he ALWAYS reverts to dirty talk even when he's not sleeping with anyone.

@FelicityKing not sure what future episodes have anything to do with it since i was talking about the already aired ones, like 4x09 and 4x10 which he both ended drinking ALONE in his hotel. and actually, i'm not unspoiled. i guess i don't consider using someone for bussiness as sleeping around? idk.

@FelicityKing Chuck said it out loud to everyone present because he wants to be left alone so nobody would worry about him being depressed and will just think, I'd rather not ask questions. Between breaking up with Blair and Lilly selling Bass Industries, and then Chuck saying he's taken off, most of his friends might worry about him unless he says such an obviously "don't ask me about it" type of comment.

@NELLISZ1 Yeah I'm guessing that Raina is supposed to be like a cross between Eva and Juliet. Seemingly innocent in the beginning, but then ends up using both Nate and Chuck after Nate's dad and Raina's dad potentially team up to bring down Bass Industries and/or Chuck. So she could be working with her dad to bring down Chuck too, or is a victim caught up in what is mostly her father's game.

See, this is exactly why IP shouldn't have been shoved under the rug because clearly many Chair fans don't fully get that using someone for sex just to get a business deal is harmful not just to person being prostituted, but is also illegal (and that's just the tip of the iceberg). @shirgen6 Chuck Bass doesn't speak in code. He isn't that self-aware. This is the guy who had to CHANGE his ENTIRE identity in order to be a "good" guy because he think he himself is incapable of change. The point of my original argument being he could have found less offensive, less HURTFUL ways of stating he's going to see Jack Bass to Blair since it is rude and offensive to say what he did. (Besides, she had push him for an admission he was going to see Jack since he didn't just say it.)

I used to love Chuck with Blair, but lets face it... she will end up torn if she's with a sex luster like Chuck Bass. How can u say u love someone b4 and end up having sex with hundred girls around? beh... She better be with Dan, Dan fix her more and more... turn her smarter and kinder.
