Denise Miller I don’t know how you drive but if I see a semi and a van I am definitely not going to squeeze through because a semi has blind spots, requires more time to brake, and weighs more than any car, truck or suv. I hope he learns from this accident and learn to drive safe and considerate of others on the road. He is such a reckless driver. I might be stereotype here, but majority of truck driver like him drive crazy on the road especially on the 94 and chula vista, national city areas. I have to pay extra extra attention when I go to the outlet down there. Ppl tend to speed up like ghosts are chasing them or something in these free ways.

It could have been what they call "mechanism" and how he was violently ejected from a moving truck. The paramedics will typically classify that as a major trauma though there may not have been major trauma. It is a precaution for him to get a full team at the trauma center to check him over. Lots of times trauma victims have internal and/or head injuries we may not be able to see from the outside.

Agree, many times it's things you can't even see. But I would be concerned about a potential head or neck injury. May initially appear as just a minor head injury but may progress into something more serious (those abrasions obviously mean his head came into contact with something). Also the contusion or hematoma already forming on his right hip and just above the pelvic bone. That doesn't look like look like road rash from a distance.
