Please don’t. Read and study the Hebrew Scriptures concerning the Messiah and the Messianic Age. Study the Messianic scriptures and their interpretation from Second Temple Period Judaism (516BCE - 70CE). There are various interpretations, but even during this period, there were Messianic Expectations pointing us to Jesus, hundreds and thousands of years prior to Him. Where do you think the early Christians got their interpretations from? Everything we know was already being taught several hundreds of years prior to the time of Jesus.

I do not in any way hold Jewish people as responsible for the death of Jesus. He clearly said he was laying his life down of his own accord. And like you said, it was the Roman’s who crucified him, anyway. Some Jewish people were against him but others followed him. And many others had never heard of him, I expect. But some of us Christians feel that because of our own sins, we have partaken of killing him. This is probably hard for someone to understand who has not felt it. But I feel that way myself. I see so much that sin in general including my sins perpetuate evil here on earth. At the moment anyone very aware of their own sinful nature or actions encounters Jesus you can see yourself as a part of the evil that killed him. It is only in this way I can accept the normal Christian interpretation of Zechariah. Because for some of us non Jewish people we have this same experience when encountering him.

They became the ‘spiritual shepherds’ following in Christ’s footsteps. ‘Whoever wishes to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life will save it.’ Everything is done unto God, and the body, a holy sacrifice unto the Lord.’ This is what it means to love God with all your heart, mind and strength. Walking in the spirit and dying to the flesh which is sinful. The lineage was recorded in the Old Testament/ Tanakh that points to the Messiah, the seed of Abraham that makes him the father of many nations. If you read the lineage of Christ, you see He qualifies to be the High priest. John the Baptist came from a priestly lineage too who prepared the way for the Lord baptising with water but Christ baptises with fire, refining. God is the potter and we are the clay. The only records of the lineage after what is recorded was destroyed with the second temple because it’s null and void.
