The Welsh missionaries came to our part of the country to share the love of Christ with our ancestors in the 19th century. Now Christians make up around 76 per cent of the population. When the revival took place in Wales around 1904, we had a revival in 1906. We owe a lot to the Welsh missionaries for introducing Christ to us. My ancestors were ostracized from the clan for accepting Christ as our Lord and Saviour. But we proudly carry the name of Jesus with us to this day. Some of our ancestors were taken in by missionaries when we were abandoned. We've been blessed beyond measure . But now it saddens us very deeply to see churches closed down and people abandoning their God. I hope there's a revival again in Wales as well as in the whole of UK.❤❤ I appreciate you and your channel and pray that the Lord blesses you and your family abundantly. But the English word Church is not a translation of Ecclesia though. It's a Germanic word that comes from the German 'Kirke' similar to the Scottish 'Kirk'. Church and Ecclesia are not the same at all. With Ecclesia, Jesus is speaking about a group of people, His Disciples. Therefore, the meaning has more to do with Community or Fellowship or Assembly who are separated for a special purpose. Kirke means a house of a lord.

The loss of Christian values that Britain had has been thrown away just in my life time. As a child in the 1940's I still remember the high profile religion played in our school day, morning prayers and hymns were conducted in assembly before any lessons, our allegiance to God and our country was clearly spoken by every child and teacher every morning. It is a false religion, and those who follow it are being deceived. The Catholic Church was founded during the reign of Constantine, circa 312 AD. At first its purpose was to combine pagan tradition with religion, then it evolved into the sanctioned church of Rome. The result? Catholic teachings are unbiblical and meant to keep the people in line without allowing them to actually learn anything about God. There are no Bible studies in the Catholic Church, just meaningless rituals like repetitious prayer, something Jesus warned us not to do. Instead of praying to our Lord Jesus, they pray to Mary. The worship of Mary is not biblical but just an idea some pope came up with. They removed the 2nd Commandment because it forbids idol worship and forbids the erection of statues in the likeness of Jesus or Mary or anything that would become an object of worship. They teach that good works are required to earn salvation. The Bible says salvation comes by the grace of God through faith alone, Ephesians 2:8. You won’t reach heaven just because you think you’re such a good person. And worst of all, they have forbidden the priests to marry, and they put limitations on eating certain foods. These doctrines are ungodly, and the proof can be found in 1 Timothy 4:1-3. Here, God warns us against these evil men who would command the people to observe ideas that the Bible refers to as, “doctrines of demons.” So if you’re Catholic and think you’re a born-again Christian, guess what, you’re not. You won’t find salvation in a false, man-made religion. In John 14:6, Jesus said,”I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father but through me.”

Hello, so sad to hear about your current situation. I identify with what you're going through because it happened to me. I lost my position as Pastor because, wait for it, I preached too much scripture from the pulpit and, again, I believed the Bible too much! Have the twelve tribes of Israel been restored? No and NO. JC told his disciples to sell their coat and buy a sword, and the Jews were scattered after he was here. I was originally Anglican, but switched to Catholicism back in 1977/8 when I was just 19. Glad I did. Since I converted the anglicans have started to ''ordain'' women, against the teaching of the Scripture, and later has even made them ''bishops''. Even worse they now approve of same-sex ''marriage''. I have never looked back. Even when I switched in the 70s the idea of same sex ''marriage'' would have been horrifying. Now anyone who opposes it is branded a ''hate-filled bigot''. Some have tried to bring ''wokeness'' into our Church but most of us do not accept it. I wish you the best and you should investigate our Church.

I was part of a housechurch in north of England for 30 years. We hired various buildings on a Sunday and met in our own homes locally midweek.We financially supported a pastor and a mission . OK we didn't have the clout or backing of established churches but we had great times of worship, teaching, fellowship. So are we trying to pander to this public requirement for an established church or are we looking only to Jesus and the furtherence of His gospel ? BRETT, I am from Northern Ireland, Remember Pastor James McConnell, of Whitewell Tabernacle Belfast, A true Man of God, now with the Lord Jesus, was an orphan boy at the age of 12 years of age, gave hus life to Jesus at 8 years of age. The Whitewell Church started with 12 people in a wee garage in Belfast. His reputation grew as a boy preacher, till his congregation was numbered in its thousands, and the Great Whitewell Tabernacle Church was built on the Whitewell Road, Belfast. Pastor McConnell was victimised and take to court in Belfast by Muslims for doing nothing else than preeching a sermon in his own church , an old man over 70 years of age. Hundreds of people stood outside the court holding up a banner, LAY NOT YOUR HANDS ON MY ANNOINTED AND DO MY PROPHETS NO HARM. The church that God recognises will always be rejected by the false shepherds. Jesus looks on the heart not on the building or the denomination. I was rejected because I spoke the Truth. It is not an easy walk but God provided ALL the way. HE kept His word and, at 75, even though I am still alone, He continues to provide. I have learned a LOT of God's truth and learned how to be content and to wait on God. I would never swap my path even though it was very dark and very difficult. I learned to see beyond and see the Truth.

I go to a Calvary Chapel church and the just teach the Bible. Book by book, verse by verse. They study it to its original language. I've learnt so much, especially that God is good, and very patient and merciful with us. We do not have to be afraid of the Word of God. I've read the Bible 4 times through myself. We need churchs that encourage this private study. Please set up a Calvary type meeting, even if it is one of your congragants homes for now. Praying for you brother.

St James’s Church, Piccadilly, London: My great, great, great grandparents were married in this church in 1813 and a number of other family members have since been baptised or married in the same church. I visit the church often to give thanks. In recent years the doors are more often closed. I wish I hadn’t heard this very sad news. My great, grat, great, great grandfather broke away from the Church in those troubled times and formed the Baptist church in Chenies. The land for the church was donated by the Duke of Bedford donated the land. I now understand the history of his breakaway from the church which I couldn’t prior to heating your vid today.
