Best fin for widefooted folks. Ive owned mine for about 6 years now. Still pretty flexible. The drain holes are decent.

They are okay for wider feet. I have 4E width feet, and wear Tribe T1 fins, which are wider than Churchills.

Crazy to consider that now in 2020 the first Churchill fin and moreys board design have not changed pretty much. Tim Morey described his initial idea hitting him like a vision all at one time. You have to ask yourself, alien influence? A resounding YES.

I put a pair of these on today size XL (shoe size 13) they felt like they were ripping my skin just putting them on and that was at the surf shop. Once I had them on, the first feeling I had was, if I used these fins in the ocean for an hour the skin on the top of my toes would be rubbed off to the bone. Too bad, as they were on sale too.

Hey jay, are the grey and blue batch of makapuus, any different to the normal ones? (were they made in china or Malaysia etc.)

Churchill Makapuus have been made in China since 2013. The rubber compound is a bit different than the old Malaysian version. I'd say it's more "plasticy". If you want a fin like the old Makapuus, check the MS Delta Vipers or Air Hubbs.

I appreciated the explanation of the curious shape, but have to wonder why it was pursued , because humans are a bipedal species. I prefer a blade that is longer, because I only use fins when the waves dictate the need, and at such times I prefer full power on each stroke.

All marketing. They could advertise the "Dolphin Shape", even though you don't kick like a dolphin while wearing them.

I rode in these fins for many, many years; I have the scares on the inside of my ankles/feet to prove it!! 🤣😂😆 In the late 70's and very early 80's, weren't the blue and yellow marketed as a swim fin aimed at bodysurfers, and the softer black and yellow fins aimed at bodyboarders?? I seem to remember that, but it was these or Duck Feet Swim Fins when I started in 1980.

Yes, the "Boogie Fin" was black/yellow and touted a slightly softer rubber.

Hi, what about the size, do they runs the big or small?
@eBodyboardingcom3 жыл бұрын
Depends on foot shape. I think maybe they run a "little" small.

Recently purchased these "floating swimfins", but float they did not. They now live at the bottom of a very deep lake.

We ALWAYS recommend fin tethers to avoid this issue. Fins are barely above neutral buoyancy.

I am Osama from Morocco, the city of Safi is famous for surfing, and I am one of your KZbin followers. We lack equipment for surfing. I need a surfing suit. If you can help me, sell me a suit even if it is torn😓😥

Hi Osama, Sorry, we don't have any ripped wetsuits, but you can often find great deals on wetsuits on eBay.
