@@Segaton I'm from a very small town in California where there was only mexican and american food, maybe a Chinese restaurant and a fried chicken spot but that was all. Bright side I just moved to San Diego about two years ago

Just make it easy and Yelp any highly rated restaurants and see if they serve omakase... if not just grab some Hamachi, Toro, or salmon carpaccio.. I make these and serve to my guests and they love it. You can always ask the chef for his recommendations when you're eating at the bar.. Chef makes it and serves it to you. Good luck my friend.
