My biggest issue with Chuwi is how little their products have lasted me. I’ve had 2 chuwi products and both have broken in around a year. Personally I don’t recommend them.

Its a hit or miss. I have a chuwi hi10go for 2 years and its still ok. Meanwhile my minibook x touch screen is having an issue. This should be your second computer if your country dont have a chuwi service center.

Minisforum has a ryzen windows tablet for $900 USD. MPP pen. 14 inches. Came out 6 months ago. Needs a major upgrade.

The CPU would suggests this is a note-taking tablet, not necessarily a drawing one (especially larger, more pro-oriented projects). Even less so with that stylus.

When it comes to taking notes, unfortunately right now, tablets with MPP2 pens rank lower than other tablets with pen support

hello teoh! im looking for a laptop/tablet that i can use for school (for word and powerpoints) and also for note taking and digital drawing, do you have any recommendations?

If you're looking for a Windows laptop that is good at drawing, it pretty much limits your options down to Huion Kamvas Studio 16, LincStudio S1 where they have the best drawing performance. If drawing performance is not that important, ASUS laptops with folding screens that support ASUS Pen 2 is worth considering. If you don't actually need the full features of Microsoft Word and Powerpoint, you can go with Android tablets, e.g. Samsung ones with S Pen, or iPads with Apple Pencil. Generally speaking, for school, you will need desktop OS. Windows or Mac. Since Mac does not have touchscreen products, you can only go with Windows and options are limited as mentioned above.

The Chuwi Hi10 Max is on sale for SGD$133 on Lazada now... without any service center in SG, its a good option for buy and discard when it fails... Not sure if the offer is a scam. will prepare to get one soon.

You can find Chuwi from their online store and AliExpress easily. As for Surface Pro vs Chuwi, I would compare the port selection.

How does that compare to chuwi ubook x which uses intel i core 5?

I've not used that Intel version so I don't know how that performs. But I've been using the N100 model, this one and the Freebook N100, for more than a month now and I'm still very satisfied with its performance. It's able to handle multi-tasking, office type work very well, without fan noise. If you don't really need the tablet form factor, get the Freebook N100 instead because the keyboard is better.

@teohontech7141 thanks for prompt reply. The freebook is too big for my liking I prefer smaller one. However I do notice the H10 max stand is detachable. So in the event I do need to use just the tablet to present without keyboard, that could be a challenge. Can this unit handle presentation via zoom, or some light video editing? My current 2 in 1 can't handle presentation in zoom without major lacking.

Chuwi is better simply because it’s cheaper and it is Windows OS. Unless you need to use iPad apps, Chuwi may be the better choice

get the ipad, I hate apple but their products retain their value for a long time, so even i you don't like it you can still resell for a tiny loss, plus, I heard that chuwi products quality is hit or miss.

It depends on what you're doing. If you need a device for work then you're better off with a Windows or Linux solution. If you're going to mostly consume media then the iPad is ok. If you're going to be browsing the internet and need extension support like I do then you're better off with Windows or Linux. Are you a student? Do not punish yourself by getting an iPad. If this will be your only computing device do NOT get an iPad. Also, there is a very large difference in price here. Why not look at a slightly older Surface tablet?

The biggest nope on that is the 12GB RAM. 16GB on Windows is barely cutting it nowadays, and that has an anemic, non-upgradable 12GB

Lol, that is NOT barely cutting it 😂. Not everyone needs 20+ chrome tabs. Go buy your $2000+ device. This tablet is not for you. These specs are fine for me. All I'm using this type of device for is browsing the internet, document editing, KZbin, Hulu and other streaming services, you know, what it's meant for. The people this is meant for aren't worried about upgrading RAM. You're also lying. Windows 11 uses around 4 GB of RAM. You're getting 3 times that here. Unless you're video editing, running auto CAD, or some other demanding project, 12 GB of RAM is fine. If you're doing more then you would not be looking at a device using the N100 🤣. Go somewhere else with that nonsense.
