Bootguy!!! I respect you so much for you addressing the whole wash thing. I waited 6 months before I washed my first pair. Checked out the website and I saw the time frame you where talking about, it is a little bit of a wait but I'm going to give them a try. Awesome review and I think I'm going to wash the next pair I get right away and do the whole 24 hr thing like you. Being comfortable is King!

I don't know how they can make a Japanese selvage denim for $100 . All my raw Japanese denim cost at least $250 a pair! These jeans look fantastic. I'll put my order in now and have my pair for the fall. As a matter of fact Im gonna order 2 pairs! And because the price is so low for the jeans, I can get those beautiful roofer boots also.

Couldn't find the 100 dollar jeans on their site. Plus I wish they had a slim tapered fit.

Got jeans and the ranch jacket, some of the stitching on the pants has come off but overall ok, the jacket fits bizarrely and they gave me the wrong lining.

Once they start to honeycomb they'll shorten up a little more. To get rid of the monster cuff youd have to hem and taper the leg from the knee down quite a bit. Make sure if you do ge them altered to find someone who wont destroy the selvage

Also, all the rivets and leather washers and stuff adds a lot of weight, they are sweet looking, but it's all really heavy and imo they don't really don't fit well for people who move a lot the way most mass produced stuff fits.

That's only for a 1000$ tailored pair of raw denim jeans. Which actually require a year to break in so that they fit better like a old pair of worn in jeans. Personally I do not care for that hipster shit. I prefer roundhouse. They are made in USA. Are 14.oz and cost 30$ to 70$. And come in unwashed denim if you want them. But it is not a clean process to break in a pair of clean denim. The best thing you can do is air it out and stick them in a deep freeze in a plastic bag to kill the bacteria and fabreeze.

I don't know what most people do but I don't think I would be able to stand the smell of denim that is unwashed for so long. Even for a pair of a thousand dollar jeans. But that's just me and I guess people will do what they will need to. Anyways, the jeans look reasonably priced considering all the labor. It would have been better if it took little less to make one.

Personally, I don't buy selvedge. Can't afford even $100 for a pair of jeans. I get mine made to measure for the equivalent of about $12 a pair here in new delhi. It's still raw denim so it looks good.

not all raw denim is as stiff, it is all based on weight. I grabbed a pair of Levi raw denim and they are "softer" still raw just weight based.

why would you run those through a washer and dryer? you ruined the way they will age. Do a hot soak and then hang dry them outside in the shade.That takes up all the possible shrinkage of the jean and If you need a hem you get them hemmed....what a waste.

I realize that you guys who love your salvage denim subscribe to an idea of care.The world that I live and work in requires me to wash and dry my clothing. To add those of us who love to support American companies just want to use the products the way WE see fit. UPDATE: 4/23/2018 I been washing and drying the jeans ones if not twice a week since 5/11/2017 they look like washed out comfortable jeans. They fit better than ever. I broke the top button off a few weeks back and Ciano farmer sent me an email after seeing the post on my Instagram. instagram.com/p/BgL0TPdhhpo They reminded me of the lifetime repair service. It's this small little attention to details that gets overlooked in 99% of soft goods manufacturing today. Please Understand I am looking at this as a WORK item. Not a fashion Piece. I reviewed the jeans with the hopes of showing that a regular guy [ like myself ] who loves their country to the core of there being. Can fully support the American worker from head to toe.

Under a 100 bucks...for a pair of trousers designed to be used by men at work?! Nope, that's not weird at all...and it's not pronounced salvage, it's selvege...a contraction (of self edge)

Sorry, but if you're going to spend that kind of money on a pair of denim, there should not be any kind of chalk marks or mistakes in the stitching like we see on the hem. Also, you should be waiting 6+ months to wash a pair of raw jeans... Folks, I'm sure this guy means well, but don't go by this video if you're just getting into raws, look elsewhere.
@TheBootGuyreviews

Your spot on. Raw denim is not my thing in fact this pair is the only one I own. With the kind of work I do and the hours I work the last thing I want to do is baby a pair of jeans. If you want to know how good they are after 100+ wash cycles I have them answers. As far as quality and durability goes they are outstanding.
