If each person who donated donated $250, the amount the "development" team of the Cicret bracelet asked for to get one shipped when it's "eventually" finished, and a total of 128.2% of the $500,000 goal was obtained, that means that, bare minimum, almost three thousand people donated. In the age of the internet, scam artists can access fresh "target audiences" faster than any other time in recorded history. The people who were deceived into donating weren't necessarily stupid. They didn't know they needed to be on their guard against such scams. That's why Captain Disillusion creates the kind of content we have come to appreciate. If videos like this reach people fast enough, they won't be duped.

I tested a far larger laser of the same (approximated) power density as the Mistaque in Universe Sandbox 2 and it somehow added 7 earth masses of water to Mars. Not sure how it did that. It's also creating ice of a thickness of 19.2 light years, despite heating up the water. It claims that the water is 0.7 light years deep at max, 7E+14 atmospheres of water vapor pressure, and completely unaffected elevation (where ground is, water not involved). On venus, the center of the laser impact ended up 600 degrees cooler while the outskirts were 60000C. Then I accidentally used it too long and destroyed Venus, though for a brief moment the water depth was positive infinity. Mercury ended up becoming a brown dwarf with 37 times the mass of Jupiter, made almost entirely of water. Further use of the laser sets the average temperature to a really big number (couple million degrees usually). That heat stops existing after a few seconds. Ice thickness is a thing, and it is positive infinity. Max water depth is somehow 14 light years. Water vaper pressure is somehow a weird seizure grid, with a max of about 1E+10 atmospheres centered at where I last shot the laser. From the looks of it, simulations aren't ready for lasers like the Mistaque either. note: This is all based on an assumption of laser width of 0.2 centimeters, but when it's breaking this much a reasonable higher value would not matter too much. Laser width was 200km. Laser crystal was ruby since the type mentioned in video was not present in the list.

August 2019 update: The last hint of any kind of message or update was from July 2017, which said all the money they gathered was to make a single prototype and show it off to engineers. They've now decided to move on to a new model* for god knows what reason. Their website isn't secure anymore and hasn't been for 427 days at the time of writing. Let's also not forget about these prototypes they said they were sending out. They're bulky, awful-looking mini projectors made somewhere in China. TL;DR: They stole about 550 grand from gullible idiots.

Based off of what you said in your last video, I thought of some possible fixes, though it's just guess work. So to start take the bracelet and double it, so you have one projector at the wrist and one on the upper arm, than remove the infrared sensor and replace it with cameras, and finally insure that if it isn't already it is connected to your phone/device by Bluetooth and that the software is all in an app on your phone/device. The idea being that the dual projectors would counter both the fading issue and the shadow issue, and the cameras would record any interference on the displays surface as a command that your phone would then emulate. The problems I can predict are a need to grid the display so the app can better recognize finger placement, a blurry image either inherent to the design or caused by the device shifting, lag between the phone and the device, and that even if you only needed the simplest of cameras that register your finger as shadows on the surface you'd still have to further have to increase the products size by a significant amount. And unfortunately the only remedy I can think of is to further increase the products size to a full on arm brace.

However sonce the human arm is not rigid, you would also need the two bracelets to be constantly adapting to their relative movement. For example, if I hold my arm out in front of me and wiggle my middle finger, my upper forearm moves (because the tendon is close to the skin). My wrist doesn't.
