Eddie is a legend he once said smoke less but smoke the best , some of the best cigar advice I ever heard
@flutonubran294 Жыл бұрын
that quote is actually from a doctor who helped them run their shop way back in the day if I remember correctly. It was written on a humidor he gifted to the Sahakians and it goes something like this ""Eat less but eat the best, drink less but drink the best - and smoke less but smoke Davidoff." Please, correct me if I'm wrong, I only hope this clarifies things a bit.

I feel like the world would be a much better place if there were more Edward Sahakians. A person can learn so much about human interaction by watching Eddie and his father.

how to be never unprofessional, for instance. i always get a certain coldness, not to say "arrogance" from eddie. emotional distance. so basically, even if you were the worst slob and totally obnoxious - he would never NOT serve you with all his expertise in your endeavour to find the perfect cigar, he would never let his personal feelings show and thus he would never be unprofessional. thats not a bad thing at all. its selfcontrol and the perfect attitude for retail / business.
@russ9921 Жыл бұрын
@@dirtyunclehubertWhile your interpretation of his professional approach is accurate, if you met Eddie, you’d not find him at all arrogant or cold. It is, actually, him showing respect - he has respect for you as the actual or potential customer and has respect for your opinions, even if he disagrees with them (though he never would openly show that disagreement). It’s a charming trait.

Start with Connecticut wrapped cigars and nothing too long or narrowed gauged. A robusto will allow you to take your time and avoid the cigar getting too hot and thus becoming bitter/acrid. Enjoy taking your time with the cigars- they aren’t cigarettes. They enjoy patience and time.
@colinjarvis5935Ай бұрын
Its not bad for you in moderation. Its not cigarettes where you smoke 10 or 20 every day and draw the smoke into your lungs. Michael Jordan smoked cigars every day in his prime and still does. My grandfather smoked cigars until his late 80s, and cigars didnt kill him

Wonderful, I’ve seen Eddie talk about his cigar experiences a number of times lately. Not having visited Davidoff yet, I think you hit the proverbial nail on the head. His, and his fathers enthusiasm for the ‘subject’ and ethos in regard to customer service and the cigar smoking ‘ritual’ in general is contagious. I feel I may get hooked in a good way😉. Top interview 👏👏

Greetings from Puerto Rico. We can’t legally aquire Cubans in my country as we are a US territory but..on my trip to London I was lucky to meet father and son, Ed and Eddie on thier Davidoff store. Needless to say I smoke my first proper cuban and got to be in thier presence. All I have learned about cutting and lighting plus cigar culture is from watching videos of the Sahakians. Many Thanks. My “new world” go to brand is Plascencia. I indulge with Davidoff and Arturo Fuentes. Perdomo also in my rotation.
