Tyler Shultz is the whistleblower who first raised the alarm on Elizabeth Holmes’s $10billion company Theranos. In conversation with Delphine Halgand-Mishra, Executive Director of The Signals Network, he discusses the experience of turning whistleblower against fashionable big business and venture capital, the legal archipelago which often confronts those who speak out, the experience of dealing with journalists, and the wider implications of the case.

This interview was recorded and broadcast as part of the 'CIJ Logan Symposium: Collective Intelligence', which took place online on 16-19 Nov 2020.

This should be a story that's presented to all MBA students to illustrate what integrity really is.

Tyler is so articulate and well spoken!! I love listening to Tyler. It is awkward bc I don't think the interviewer's understanding of English is too good and she asks questions in weird ways like "so your summer was good and then after that it was not so good..." and then Tyler is a rock star and does a great job of explaining things. I know Tyler is humble but he is a total hero!!! He was one of the few people that stood up to a multi million dollar super powerful company that lied, bullied, and intimidated people to maintain their fraud (and he was like only 22). Elizabeth should have listened to all that Tyler said when he first brought it up and that was one of the few ways that she could have started to turn things around. I wish Ian Gibbons had lived to see what happened too and be vindicated. So sad. I wish Tyler all the success and happiness in the future!!!

Yes you are right. Did not mean to make fun of her English. Was actually trying to explain why her manner of interviewing seemed awkward to ppl. If you read the comments most of them are negative and say that she interrupts too much. I think it is bc she speaks many languages and English is one of them but not first language so sometimes questions are a little awkward. Sorry if that comment is coming off the wrong way. I went to French immersion school growing up and my French totally sucks compared to this woman’s English. My Spanish is ok tho bc of some early understanding of French. Anyway props to her. Did not mean to be mean. I also love Tyler and have watched almost every interview he has done.

This interviewer is adorable. She knows so much about this story and Tyler’s experiences that she could tell it all herself. I’ve watched many interviews on Theranos and this one is quite unique.

It would have been a great interview had you not interrupted him so much.
