You can do the OTK on turn 1 by playing the Bubbleman specific spell card that lets you activate a trap card.

Technically in that last game you couldn't have just attacked for game, Chain Material has a line of text on it that says "You cannot attack during the turn this card is activated". So it was right to go for the Railcannon kill lol.

Oh man I remember both of these decks. The fusion deck is way more ridiculous and honestly mechanically a bit ahead of its time. MBT has played Coelacanth so many times, and even mentioned in the deck intro that monsters summoned off it have their effects negated, and yet turn 1 of game 1 activates amd resolves the effect of a monster summoned of Coelacanth 🤦‍♂️

Cimo's build is interesting. The deck either needs heavy control until they get everything, or turbo through the deck. I prefer the turbo version, so drawing through everything in deck and get either temple of the kings or a makyura into the grave. Even with both errata, its ftk or bust

Little mistake at the end, cimo was suppposed to summon gaia, not the shining since gustav is earth type, still, I was hoping they would show the full combo since you have to figure out how to loop the electrums that go to grave due to being XYZ's materials. Not the hardest thing but I've tested this and you can screw it up if you don''t do it correctly

It's actually a ton more work than needs to be done, and you're right that you can easily fuck it up by exhausting all 3 electrums and ruining the loop. The deck gets so much easier to OTK once Blaze Fenix comes out like a year after this because then you just run 3 Destiny End Dragoon and 3 of its materials, 3 trade in and destiny draw so the dogma and plasma aren't bricks but drawing power, run 3 swift scarecrow, 3 cyber valley, 3 volcanic shell, one copy of the 4 E heros for the electrums, 3 temple of the kings and the 3 fusion gates and chain material. This allows you to kill your opponent with half a dozen different methods depending on the situation. Not to mention, it's an FTK because of temple of the kings. If they have a bunch of strong monsters, you just summon all the Dragoons and then blow up their monsters for huge damage and finish with blaze fenix or gustav. Alternatively, you can win with just blaze fenix alone because with electrum you can summon blaze fenix like 9 times considering that blaze fenix can use itself as material along with gustav or cyber valley or swift scarecrow. Or you can just summon 3 gustavs with the 3 dragoons and 3 electrums, do 6000 damage, then summon a fenix or two to do the remaining 2k. You can literally goof off once fusion gate and chain material are active with this setup because there's so many ways to reach 8000 damage without worrying about some complex loop with gustav and electrum and the shining. You can still do the complex infinite loop if you really want to, but it's not required at all.

The only reason I ask of this is because as a fan of the archetype I want to see what would have happened if the deck was at full power during this Era of the game rather than when it had to wait several years for Nebra disk to come to the tcg and be irrelevant

chain material is basiayly fusion summoning before fusion summoning was a thing. its so odd how only 6 years after printing fusion monsters they made the first fusion spell, i mean how else are you supposed to fusion summon if not by sending materials from the deck and now every fusion card needs errata text to state you can use cards from the deck
