It's amazing to see two of my favorite film essay channels- Nerdwriter1 and Cinema Beyond Entertainment break down the progression of an action scene in very different ways. Nerdwriter1 recently compared the progression of the Top Gun Maverick Scene to any great pop song. Vinit broke it down comparing it to a string of words with narrative building conjunctions like therefore and but. I am loving this! So intriguing...

I watched an interview of SS Rajamouli garu where he mentioned about the process of story writing his father and he follows for all of his movies. He mentioned the use of the 8 "Rasaa" or Essence in English from the Indian ancient dramatic theory. They use these Rasas and the flow of story between these Rasa's to keep it captivating and appealing to all types of audiences right from a child to an old person. I believe thats where lies the crux of his movies and why they struck a cord with the audiences

I knew it I knew it I knew it!!!! Since I have watched this movie I have been waiting for the day Vinit would make a comeback with his videos and knew it within my heart that he will pick this scene. So glad it happened today. :) Small feedback (pls feel free to comment): Would have loved to see you include how the shock element elevates the level of the scene. Twice before this scene it’s shown that Bheem has something to do with the wild animals but no one knows what is he actually up to. But the moment the cages open you realise in a fraction of seconds what was going on and how that seemingly impractical scene was actually brought to fruition. Nevertheless, loved the video.

Coming to movies that are 3hrs long. RRR has very good pacing and has excellent time management except for Raju's flashback sequence. I have seen some movies that are within 120 min duration but felt like forever because of terrible pacing or screenplay. RRR has some of the best action sequences ever.
