The ending definitely ticked off the programmer side of my brain to no end. He is literally copying his code to every other bot in the world and yet can't copy his code to himself? Shoot, he could've even copied his code to a new, undamaged body. There is absolutely no reason for this "sacrifice" nonsense.

I know little about programming but I knew several things in the film, especially towards the end, must've gotten to any programmers in the crowd lol. how'd you feel about Barney "finding" Ron in their databank/server room? like, how does that even work?? or the bots being immediately jailbroken just by touching each other? Ron's "coding" being.. a cork-board of post-it notes?

Maybe there were restrictions to self duplicate as if the robot could create a virus with no sentinel values? It's possible. Also, as a newbie programmer and advanced ideologist (writer assured), I can definitely announce that there needs to be conflict within a villain/hero story. WELL at least generally.. there have been tweaks writers have used to create wonderous new stories from scratch that botched the whole fixed permanent conflict within a story for an ending most interesting but of course you got some small fry working shit straight off and fresh from the college train... So I agree with ya there..

Actually, as an asthmatic, if a kid is having a mild attack and they have their inhaler they then need to sit down and chill while they take it and wait for their airways to open up again, unless it’s super serious (which considering he’s walking and talking clearly to her, that wasn’t the case) sitting down is the best thing you can do alongside taking your inhaler, which he clearly has in his hand. That teacher was right, lol, though someone should’ve stayed with him in case he started to die or something.
@RialVestro
@RialVestro 2 жыл бұрын
It's not shown in the edit here, but in the actual movie he says he needs to get his OTHER inhaler implying that the one he's holding is in the red zone and he has a back up probably stored in his locker some where. Though inhalers have a counter right on the top that shows how many uses it has left. It's not entirely accurate, the counter only changes after every 20 uses and when it's down to 20 left that's the "red zone" I'm aware as an asthmatic yourself that you'd be aware of this already but I'm explaining this for any random readers who wouldn't know how inhalers work. I use one myself. Oddly I didn't have issues breathing till around 2018. I live in California and one of my neighbors pointed out that the entire neighborhood has had to start using inhalers because of all the fires, there are days were it looks like it's snowing in the summer and/or it's really foggy outside but it's actually smoke and fire from a nearby fire. I had nights where I was sleeping outside on the porch in a lawn chair in the middle of actual snow in the winter cause I couldn't breath also for some reason I only seem to ever have issues when I'm at my ex's house, something about that neighborhood maybe a mixture of being at higher elevation plus the smoke in the air. I almost never use my inhaler at home but feel like I have to sleep with it at her house. I don't know. Does being around people who cause you stress make you more prone to an asthma attack?
@RubyBlueUwU
@RubyBlueUwU 2 жыл бұрын
@@RialVestro not all inhalers have counters (I’ve only ever had one kind with one, and I’ve tried about 15 different ones in my life) and there’s many, MANY different kinds with different meds in them, I’ve not seen the film but based on that I’m guessing he’s going to get his preventer inhaler - relievers are for immediate relief in the moment and preventers have stronger, longer lasting effects. Also I’ve had certain neighbourhoods where my breathing is worse than others, it can have to do with air pollution, fires, plants, basically all manner of things can make it worse some places than others!

@@RubyBlueUwU How do you know when you need a refill without the counter? I've only had this one type since I started using one. I have seen a different one from the one I have back in high school because one of my friends used one back then but don't remember if it had a counter or not. I do remember he showed it to me joking about the fact he was taking steroids and I didn't know that was actually one of the ingredients in inhalers at the time till he showed me the label on the side of his.

@@RialVestro you basically just use it until you notice it’s less effective and then you know, it’s definitely more convenient to have the counter and would’ve helped me out a lot as a kid to know when it was getting to the end before it ran out

I really liked the movie, up until the end. My biggest issue was more that it went from “you have to know everything about me, so you can be my friend“ to the exact opposite, where the kids weren’t in control of what they wanted to do. And that really bothered me. Also it was the same exact ending, only not as good, as big hero six.

@LunarKnight22
@LunarKnight22 2 жыл бұрын
@@myaedelman The B Bots seemed to come out of their rest mode and cycle through whatever they wanted to cycle through to be the theme of the moment. Like in the video one kid looks at his B Bit and it’s talking about what I’m guessing is supposed to be my little ponies. And it doesn’t seem to care what the kid likes or doesn’t like, its all about what the bot is in the mood for. The “friendships“ just swapped from being all about the humans, to all about the bot. And while there are friendships that are one-sided, generally speaking friendship is about both people involved. Not about you molding yourself to things I like, or me just accepting whatever it is that you were in the mood for in that moment and having to go along. It’s about give-and-take, but that’s not what we’re getting here.

10:12 2 is the only prime number that is even. The reason is that a prime number is only divisible by 1 and itself. All even numbers can be divided by 2, making them not prime. However, this does not apply to 2 because dividing it by 2 is the same as dividing it by itself. Other than this one, very specific exception, "Prime numbers can't be even" is a good rule for mathematics.

And to think I was visualizing this video many days ago since they sinned the Luca movie. Well actually, I was visualizing Ron's Gone Wrong and Turning Red being sinned, and one of my predictions became true. I'm still waiting for the title "Everything Wrong with Turning Red", that Disney & Pixar movie surely has an entire bunch of sins, don't you think?

I mentioned this on another comment but even us non-programmers recognized wrong or impossible things so I can only imagine. I think the general themes and way it plays out are supposed to overshadow any inconsistencies since it's primarily for kids, but it's hard not to notice when so much of the film relies on tech parallels to our real world.

Movie often don't care about logic and reality. They always go for a feel of magic so kids can hope that a real fairy pops up before they're 13 and gives them some rose-colored glasses--

Here’s how special advisers for movies work. They get hired after the script is written & are used to resolve script paradoxes help the director stay sane when the script directly contradicts reality. Also the producers have a “world expert” name in their movie credits to point to if journalists start to laugh at their movie too hard.

Here's another Sin: The inventor of B-bot is clearly meant to be based on Mark Zuckerburg. The problem is the movie makes the guy a nice and friendly person who invented revolutionary technology out of the goodness of his heart while his real-life counterpart was a skeevy pervert who only created Facebook so he could share photos of women in their dorms to other college students over the Internet. And he's not the kind of person to be concerned by abuses of his technology. Zuckerburg's not a good person, so why is the movie presenting him like that while demonizing Steve Jobs?

@@Some_Guy6 I have not, but i do understand human nature and i stand by previous statement. the only difference might be topic and the fact that the Asian ones are written backwards and may be haikus instead of limericks, but there will still be dirty poetry drawn on the walls. that's universal.
