The doll is in the possession of John Zapphis(probably not how u spell it) hes the caretaker of the museum the Warren's built in their basement. The horror genre has had shameless knockoffs since the beginning of cinema. Definitely not defending the current ones, but let's not act like it's an original thing. Many of the most critically acclaimed, culturally influential, publicly lauded films in cinematic history have been inspired by either earlier films or books. Citizen Kane, Ben Hur, The Godfather, Jaws Apocalypse Now, The Shining, The Thing, Indiana Jones, Star Wars, and countless others, from the silent film era up to now, have been inspired by or taken countless themes, characters, anesthetics, and plot points from previous creations. Before moving pictures were even a thing there was the debate that every type of story possible has already been told, and everything new is simply an interpretation of that. I'm definitely not defending any unoriginal films, but I hate the perception or idea that it's a new thing.

How come every horror franchise is a convoluted mess of families and demons and ghost hunters, with at best one or two memorable characters? And they always have prequels that are supposed to explain shit but just end up making everything more confusing. They're just impenetrable webs of names and faces that blur together, so none of the connections actually have any impact. And it doesn't help that all of these series are already following the same horror tropes and story cliches.

Actually a nun may be able to perform a confession, nuns are allowed to consecrate the Eucharist (something supposed to only be performed by priests) when a priest is unable to do so (like if the convent is located far away from the nearest priest and he can’t perform mass on Sunday) so if that loophole exists it wouldn’t surprise me if there are more.

At 13:59 I say you take off a sin. The doll that they pull out of the bag is an actual doll in real life that actually had a Spirit in it. The lady that owns it put it in a glass box and it is shone off at her house like a museum. The scary thing is that it said “DO NOT TUCH!” On it and all the people who did had died in a car crash coming home. It was actually the inspiration for this movie and is a really cool Easter egg.
