Great video, this was very helpful! What is the benefit to setting the sharpness to low? I have been flying with these exact settings but find all my videos to be very blurry. Are you adjusting the sharpness in post to compensate for the lack of detail straight out of the camera?

Exactly we will add a small amount of sharpness in post. It’s better to have the option to add it than take it away.

Thank you for your video. The „behind the settings of a pro“ help a lot. I know ReelSteady stretches the 4:3 image by itself to fit to a 16:9 aspect ratio. But sometimes the edges seem to be stretched to hard for my taste. How do you handle this? And when you shoot with Hypersmooth turned on in 4:3 are you just cropping the image top and bottoms to fit 16:9 or are you using some Postproduktion Stretch or Lens correction? Thanks

Hi Christoph! What lens settings are you in at 4:3 before you put the clip into Reelsteady, wide? I do not mind the stretch for it doesn't now seem as bad. When we but a linear mode clip into reelsteady however it does stretch quite a bit. When we shoot without Reelsteady and just have our 4:3 clip we will crop it in our timeline to desired resolution like 16:9 etc.

@@hollerfpv2237 thank you for your response. For hypersmoothed shot Video I Never really thought about „just“ cropping the Video, as I thought Linear mode already gave me a pretty small Image. But of course it’s different for pure Freestyle or if you shoot cinematic footage. Shooting with ReelSteady. I give the wide setting a try. I most of the time shoot in „superview“ that stretches fairly a lot by it self - ReelSteady then gives no more stretch to the already 16:9 stretched video (different to other lens angle settings in 16:9) so I can decide if I want to ReelSteady afterwards or not. But this then seems to give me some nasty stretch in the corners. Especially with yaw moves 🤔 I guess I have to plan the wanted Post Processing More in advance ;-)

@@christophkuchner2961 I'm having similar issues, I don't mind the look superview but shooting in 4:3 and then processing it with Reelsteady it just looks oddly stretched to me.

Thanks ! but why not 5k ? or 16:9 ? thanks

From my experience ReelSteady seems to like the 4:3 video source more than 16:9 for the stabilization factor.
