He actually became a “Christian” because of his wife. He was 17 and she was like 23 when they started dating. I personally think he just wanted to get laid and got caught up in the born again thing. Then I guess his family saw the money in it and they all converted too.

Veggie Tales had a Christmas Special called "The Toy Who Saved Christmas" which was explicitly about how commercialization and greed have had an insidious and destructive effect on Christmas. Now let's look at Saving Christmas and : do I even need to bloody explain what Veggie Tales did right and what Mr. Kirk Cameron did wrong? I hope I don't! I also wish a Happy New Year to any who read this. Also, Sean, Mr. Cinematic Excrement, I love your work, and I hope you had a Merry Christmas, if only to compensate for the pain of watching Surviving Christmas again.

This film is the living definition of ironic. Cameron set out to create this work of art that glorifies his faith and instead created a monstrosity that is nothing but comedy gold for his opponents. He tackled the most important subject in his life, something he has spent years pursuing, and screwed it up so badly that as long as there is video streaming he will be held up to ridicule until finally people forget completely about it.

This is one of my top-five favourite KZbin channels and whenever a new video drops, I'm onto it as soon as I can. The videos are well made, the script is always funny and the presentation is uniformly top-notch (even in the very earliest videos, I could see the potential behind the endearing ropiness). This channel should be far bigger than it is because it deserves a much wider audience. Anyway, Merry Christmas, Mr Smeghead. The funniest thing about kirk cameron i find is that time he insisted bannanas are proof god exists because they lack seeds in them or something and that its a perfect thing When he doesnt know that only genetically engineered bannanas are like that with actual wild ones having big hard seeds throughout the fruit So in reality hes pointing to a creation of man as a sign god exists What an idiot (Note no im not passing judgement on peoples beliefs, merely on kirk cameron)

I think Kirk and Darren going way off-script works if you look at it as Kirk and Christian having gotten drunk at the party. If Christian was sober, he would not have stayed in the garage. The two being drunk is the only way to make it make any sense.

I couldn't agree more, and as of today, it's been announced that Kirk and his family have moved from California to Tennessee. It's safe to say that after 10 years, Kirk's career as an actor is over, he's become a pastor and is now where he belongs: in one significant part of the conservative Bible Belt.

While Nicholas was most likely not at the Council of Nicea, I hardly think he was imposing his views on others; he was refuting the idea Christ isn’t divine. If anything, he would have fought against “Christ not divine” being imposed on others.

This movie is the ravings of a nutbar. Seriously, the idea that anyone takes Kirk Cameron seriously is mind boggling. The man has a persecution complex the size of Africa. Christians basically run the country. Just because its not a theocracy doesn't mean you're persecuted my guy.

As a second generation, diagnosed schizophrenic who's currently in remission and studying psychology in school; disordered speech, incapability of thinking succinctly, and delusions are all three characteristics of schizophrenia. There are more, but a psychologist or psychiatrist would only need three to make the diagnosis. What I'm saying is, Kirk, if by some miracle you're reading these comments, get help. *I'm only speculating, not diagnosing*

I guarantee Falwell Jr would still be in charge of Liberty University had the pool boy been female. Evangelicals love their redemption moments, and adultery is one thing, but gay adultery isn't something they're going to tolerate. Granted, they still love their redemption story, so if he waits a few more years, and claims to have been "forgiven" or "healed" or something, he'll be right back in their good books.
