This cinnamon swirl recipe is both easy and delicious. And the cinnamon buns come out at only 22p each. A fantastic snack and very inexpensive. This cinnamon swirl recipe makes 6 cinnamon buns and hey will be gone in a flash.
For the dough
210g / 7.5oz Plain Flour 0.11p
30g / 1oz Sugar 0.04p
Punch of salt 0.00
1 tsp Dries yeast 0.08p
60ml Warm water 0.00
20ml Whole Milk 0.03p
20g / 0.7oz Butter 0.15p
1 egg 0.13p
For the Filling
35g / 1.2oz Butter 0.20p
30g / 1oz Brown Sugar 0.09p
3 tsp Cinnamon 0.12p
For the frosting
60g / 2oz Icing Sugar 0.15p
1 Tbsp Milk 0.01p
½ Tsp Vanilla Extract 0.06p
35g /1.2oz Softened Butter 0.20p

6 Cinnamon Swirls at 0.22p Each
Put the Flour, sugar and salt into a mixing bowl.
Add the yeast to the warm water and melt the butter and milk together.
Add the yeast mix, butter and milk and egg to the dry ingredients.
Bring together into a dough and knead for 10 mins.
Set aside to prove for 1 hour.
When doubled in size, knock the air out and roll out into a rectangle.
Soften the butter and spread it over the dough.
Combine the cinnamon and brown sugar and sprinkle over the buttered dough.
Roll the dough up and cut into 6 slices.
Place them in a baking tin with greaseproof paper on the button and greased sides.
Cover and prove a second time for 1 hour.
Bake for 15-20mins at 190c / 375f / gas mark 5
Mix the icing sugar, milk, vanilla extract and softened butter into a creamy frosting.
Allow the cinnamon swirls to cool and cover with the frosting.
