One time he was flipping out on me because i like Chicago pizza more than New York. Like, it'd be one thing to make a joke, but he'd just go on and on and on as if he was really pissed that I liked Chicago pizza and just making me feel like shit about it. My boyfriend said NOTHING. And I was just sitting there with a grown man yelling at me, and I was like "Well, I don't know what to tell you. I like Chicago pizza," like, I had to speak for myself because my boyfriend just sat there and did nothing. Then his dad would get pissy and say that I was talking back to him....for defending myself...for like Chicago pizza. Omg it was so friggin stupid. And looking back, I'm like, my boyfriend if he was an actual man should have been like "dad...stfu...she likes Chicago pizza." I think overly aggressive fathers tend to shame their sons from questioning or countering them, so they end up creating sons with no backbone, sons who will never question anyone or call them out, and who are just constantly afraid of confrontation.

I can relate deeply with the parental situation. I'm 26 with a 22 year old sister and they refuse to be happy about us moving out. I have a disability and my sister is caring for my monetary needs but she is able. She is learning how to drive jsut now because my father refused to teach her. They didn't want us to get credit cards or a bank account and tried to shelter us as much as possible so we'd stay. It's disgusting and what this does to your child's mind while they are taking steps to be independant can be horrific and then actively blocking their path when they try.....

The 'friend party' was kind of tense and weird. Lol all of my "friends" are never that awkward with eachother. Even with new relationships and being in similar situations. The best home girl friend is too much. I feel sorry for Julia for being fucked over often. I feel like if Brandon ever watches episodes of this, he can realize how much love and effort she actually put into their relationship and I hope he feels awful for it. Also, why tf does he keep inviting that girl over? Lol it obviously gets tense when she's around. And her bf doesn't seem to want to be around either lol

I've a feeling he just didn't have any friends so the show had to cast some. I watch this therapist that has reacted to these two and he calls Branden a ghost and says that perhaps due to emotional abuse from the parents has no sense of self. So since he has no idea who he is or what he wants he just goes with whatever makes others happy. He almost never talks about what he wants. It's always "my parents need help on the farm" "Julia wants to move out". It's interesting
@brandiflath77803 жыл бұрын
As someone who doesn't want children, they should have had this conversation a long time ago, full stop. That's not a decision either party should have to compromise on. IF she knew it was something he didn't want she shouldn't have brought it up in front of everyone knowing it was a touchy issue, if she DIDN'T know, that's a shitty way to find out the person you've married + moved across the world for doesn't have the same life goals as you. He should have just let it go, and shut his friends up. He doesn't respect her at all. This isn't going to go well...
@toocutenoirb.42783 жыл бұрын
Here's the thing tho. He made it seem like they do want kids just NOT yet. But they had a pregnancy scare n been together longer n now got a place she might feel ready now. They never said a timeline which is a Convo they could have but he knew she wanted kids but I think he not ready which is fine. But her saying her plans for there future isn't something to shut down he could have said yeah when the time comes. But to say no absolutely to kids it sounds like he changed his mind which is fair but that means they should chat about it. But Brandon is on n off on what he wants with Julia. He says one thing n changes his mind instantly. I hope she leaves him
@Sp3c90003 жыл бұрын
@Brandi Flath exactly, that conversation should have happened a long time ago, and again after the pregnancy scare, and it should have been a private conversation between the two of them regardless of being on a TV show at the time. Both of them really messed up on that particular topic.

Unfortunately my mother- in- law and her boyfriend are like this. My husband and I have been married for 3 years and together 6 years we have a daughter and I'm pregnant with our second daughter currently. We have our own home and my husband has a good career at UPS. My mother- in- law and her boyfriend insisted thats its my fault they dont see there son anymore and that everything has changed because of me. Even though we moved close to them and they then moved 40 mins away without telling her son until a couple days to moving date.

He’s happy and I’ll be at the baby shower again giving gifts and being there for my man’s! Just be supportive. If there’s real concerns there’s a time, place and A WAY TO DO IT!!!! This wasn’t it. Not to mention the worst time to bring up that “I’m not ready for kids” is in front of people. It’s a private conversation… it’s as easy as saying “I would love to see a baby here soon” and move past it until you aren’t in mixed company

@leehalloway87873 жыл бұрын
It is hard to speak a different language, you cannot express yourself fully the way that you're able to in your mother tongue (unless you learned as a child or have been practicing for years). You sound less intelligent in the second language since you have a limited vocabulary and grammar, people sometimes assume that you are simple, it is incredibly annoying.

Every time his parents downplay him they expose how bad a job they did in raising him. If you really think that your 30 year old son can’t survive without you, then you failed as parents. When Buff said, "They didn't have a son to just work on their farm, and if they did, shame on them." Yes, Buff, shame on them but unfortunately that happens quite a lot in farm-heavy small towns like the one I grew up in. They usually have a lot of kids for free labor and it's awful. Then those kids grow up to be entitled assholes like their parents and the cycle continues. I moved to a big city to get away from my small town, and that's just one of the many reasons why I left.
