Find out which city the street market is in on the day of your hike (same vendors each day). Take the train to one city north or South and hike the trial to the city with the street market. Market goes from about sun up to about noon. Plan to arrive in the market city about 10 and put your reservation in for a rotisserie chicken and or a rack of beef ribs. Walk around the city for a while. Return to the trucks and get your rotisserie chicken, little round bread, fruit, drink then take the train back to your home city (you will be too full to hike again). The chicken truck is like a transformer, worth a look even if you are not hungry.

I am planning to walk the Cinque Terre in the Fall. I hope the trails are open! I am a bit afraid of heights (get vertigo) --meaning narrow trails with steep drop offs. I wonder if there would be any of these on this Corniglia-Manarola section? Thanks in advance

I think only the trail between Monterosso and Corniglia is open.

Try to remember to bring a little snack for that feral dog and/or his skinny buddies. They are very skittish, get their attention and then toss the snack in their direction. Obviously those sweet dogs have come across some cruel people on the trials.
