Thank you so much! That's so kind of you to say. I have a small but growing collection of videos here as well as various blog posts on my website, and an entire Weaving Basics Video course offered through my Etsy shop. You could say I am a bit of a weaving nut ;) But I love sharing all that I know. Take care!

Great tutorial, thank you for such useful tips. I have never been interested in weaving, but after learning how to make our own and seeing your lovely work, I do feel like giving it a try!

Hi, Helena, Hope you do try weaving it's rather addictive though, (in a good way) I used to knit but have had to give it up, I had lots of yarns so this gave me a great way of using them up. Although I still add to my stash. It's also great to have had something else to do during lockdown. Hope you do give it a try. Keep safe . From England UK xx

Hello Jelica, I would like To tell you That i love your Job, now i follow you on Instagram and I can tell you are the only one who has really share the ways of waiving!!!! Here in Mexico is a little hard and expensive to find the merino yarn , or the real chunky yarn, and I’ve done some tapestry’s with what I have and what I find, I have actually cut some clothing that I don’t use anymore hahahah anyways, thanks for sharing…. Blessing from Mexico!!!!

Hello Alejandra! Thank you for your kind words. Using old clothing is a brilliant idea. I once used fabric from a thrift store to create some interesting textures in a tapestry and I loved how it turned out! Sometimes you have to get creative to get the job done - haha! Blessings from Canada!!

So glad you've taken the plunge! Weaving - in all its forms - is such a wonderful creative outlet. The only downside? Trying to keep my kitties away from my yarn!

I had the same conundrum with regards having 2 ‘over’ together at the end of my single row and it took me ages to work out why! It’s because if you did another row your next stitch would be under your first stitch (which is an ‘over’) so it is right .... if that makes sense!

Wouldn’t it be better to wrap around the hoop when pre-measuring the warp to insure a more accurate measure?

Great video! I was rolling a skein of some lovely wool yarn for a circular weave I'm making (first effort!) so it was very helpful to follow your thought process and technique. Thank you for sharing!

I'm a newbie with weaving, do you think You can paint the loom?
@jenniferbrighty51204 жыл бұрын
Hi, Linda yeah you can paint the loom, you paint it before you start .make sure its completely dry though and that the paint doesnt rub off onto your weaving give it a slight rub just so you know it's not going to rub off onto your weaving.Another thing you could do is wrap the hoop with something thin cotton. Hope this helps. Keep weaving,keep safe. From England UK xx
@APrettyFix3 жыл бұрын
Yes, absolutely you can. You can paint it, wrap fabric around it, wrap yarn around it - you name it! Lots of great ways to finish off the look.

While doing weaving, the starting part at centre. Do we to take yarn between the spokes, I mean that while roping the spokes they got double. So do we need to take shuttle through those double spokes gap or should consider double spokes as one spokes then weave between those inch gapes?
@APrettyFix4 жыл бұрын
You can choose one of two options: 1. Weave around both 'spokes' in the center (in other words, treat both spokes as if they were just one spoke). 2. Or you can weave around just one spoke in the center. You can always try both ways and see which one you like best! Depending on how dense the spokes are in the center, you can decide if option #1 or option #2 works best.

I enjoyed your weaving but it looks unfinished to me. I would somehow cover the wood or stain it. I will continue watching for more instruction.
@APrettyFix3 жыл бұрын
I hear you! It's all based on personal preference. Once you learn the basics of circle weaving, you can absolutely finish it in any way you'd like. Some leave the wood frame unfinished, while others prefer wrapping the frame with scrap fabrics, and still others use a thick cotton cord to wrap the frame. So many possibilities!
@Eternal_Starlight4 жыл бұрын
Very interesting and beautiful! 💓 So we don’t take it out of the circle frame after it’s done ?
@APrettyFix4 жыл бұрын
No need to take it out. The hoop is the frame :) If you want to add embellishments to the frame or wish to change the colour of it, just take more yarn or fabric scraps and wrap around the entire frame (before you even begin to start the circle weaving). Or paint the hoop before you begin. Endless possibilities!
