Guys, I just wanted to thank you so, so much for making these videos. The views might still be surprisingly low for such great videos, but think of how many kids you've managed to inspire, or how many clueless adults you've taught the basics to. My three-year-old son is now absolutely obsessed with electronics, and it all started with seeing this particular video a year ago. Since then, we've taught ourselves enough electronics to help him set up the basics of PCB's, LED's, and the rest on breadboard. Every appropriate LED in his collection is named Ruby, Gus, or Billie. He named the clear ones "Cleara." He can identify every type of component on every circuit board we can dig up for him. You've fostered what will be a lifelong love of electronics for him, and you can bet we'll be buying a lot of your kits/products when he's old enough to use them. Great job with these videos!

When I stay up too many nights in a row soldering this is what happens. Components start talking to me.

Cool vid, but don't you normally have to clean off the board/parts? or is soldering getting better & better as a technology? (I noticed this vid is 3 years old)

As a Hakko 888D owner, I'm very glad it's found a place in a kids show. The design choice finally paid off :) But boys and girls. Get a good quality T12, seriously.
