I have watched a few of the videos. It is interesting to see that even small planes are going to 'joy stick' controls. The tech in the cockpit is so neat.

Depending where you are, finding a good instructor might not be an issue. I prefer glass since it is the future. If you learn steam, you will eventually have to learn glass at some point. So, spend a little more now and get set with the new technology mindset.

Too bad R9 is rare. I just got my third class cert. trying to find a instructor. Train glass it steam?

How do you like the R9 compared to G1000?

I have flown the G1000 as well. I like the R9 much more. They are both great systems. R9 is so much more intuitive.
