1050s are not discontinued. In fact they just released a new color not too long ago. Also, the bracelet tapers from 19 to 18.

Thank you for sharing Zee. Citizen certainly has some amazing watches, specially in the JDM, too bad they tend to get overcrowded by Seiko. Both of the pieces you presented are outstanding with incredible design, build quality, and value. Love the use of the Miyota 9 thousand series movement with the level of decoration exhibited. Agree, but I thought the dial is more beige. Under different light it is not comfortable to check the time.

Apart from the power reserve the Seiko 6R movements are no match for the Miyota 9 series movements. You have to spend much more for a Seiko with a movement or similar quality.

Great watches, the black dial is a little too large I think, but the white dial would look fantastic on a brown leather strap! As someone else said, the Seikos over £1000 tend to come with movements with worse reliability records than the 4r35, I would take a Miyota 9 series over them any day.

Very cool watches Zee. Looking at the two Citizens, I'd prefer the white dial hands on the black watch and vice versa. The hands keep disappearing on the black watch and if they were swapped around it would work. Great quality, finish and materials. Excellent review.

Very interesting review as i'm very tented by the nb1050. 38mm are ideal for me and the specs are so good for the price. Timeless (boring?) design, in a beautifully finished duratect case. I tried the tsuyosa, i came back to look for this 1050.

Citizen sometimes offer bigger lugs and male endlinks also butterfly clasp, that makes a downside, seiko has friendly watches to wrist . If only citizen can do the same, i am sure seiko has a big competitor

Seiko should put their vh31 movement in a Turtle or SKX case. Had you heard of or thought about putting a vh31 in a SD1970 Willard? Game changer if possible. 🤔👌

I have always liked Seiko over Citizen, however, the 4R35/36 should not be in any watch over 250/300€ (this also goes for Ali). It is certainly dated and has made more than enough benefits for the company by now. Also I believe the 9000 series movements are not valued against its real potential. Regards

Hahaha... they WILL destroy Seikos? You're probably on some drug. The 1041 is fatter and is just copying SARB033. Then the white NB1050 is another fatter cased piece that looks like a Casio.

Ur probably on some crack, ofcourse it kills the seiko sarb, better price and much better high end movement. Only thing sarb has is better fit. The bracelet on this watch is also better. Trust me, I know what I'm talking about.

@@TheWatcherReviews Haha oookkaayyy... if you say so. Your confirmation bias is just in full view. The Citizen 1041 is simply boring, the Tsuyosa looks much better. And, even the Seiko 5 SNXS79 with its lower spec movt blows that 1041 out of the water. So many reviewers have attested to the SNXS79, but so little have raved about this 1041. But then again, you do you.

@hakki368 what r u talking about, go check my SOTC vids, I own 40+ Seiko, ur not a bigger fan boy than me, why you talking about snsx? I've got seiko from all ranges, from bottom tier to mid tier to mm600. This specific model vs sarb, kills the sarb on so many level. If u watch the review properly I still say sarb just looks better, but on specs and technicality and value for money, citizen beats it. Ur talking nonsense broski 😉
