So true, Citizen Soldier writes such deep and relatable lyrics. Reminds me of a quote, "The axe forgets, but the tree remembers." Often what is one person's worst day of their life is another's regular weekday. We so often hurt each other and leave scars without even knowing it, or we do it on purpose but forget relatively quickly, ignorant that what we did is going to leave long-term psychological scars. Of course, the worst are those who knowingly hurt and scar others and do so out of sheer sadism/malice.

I love that while the instruments are heavy, the voice never becomes obnoxious screaming/ just noise. The singer has a good voice that holds a melody amidst heavy instrumentals. Dunno if I'm making sense 😅 Basically, I am fine with heavy instrumentals, so long as the artist still actually sings 😊

I LOVE this because we get so many comments of people saying they wish I screamed it...I sometimes feel like screaming can become a crutch for active rock bands but it can also sound cool in certain moments 🤷🏼‍♂️

I think a powerful note and strong vocals can be belted without screaming. Heck, even gravelly and/or growling is ok on occasion. But great lyrics are ruined and stripped of meaning for me if it devolves into just noise. Sorry, I dunno if I make any sense. Anydangways, thanks for the like and the reply! 🤩

Your range combined with the instruments conveys emotion very well. Besides, screaming can trash the throat so it's better not to do it (especially on tour when you have to sing night after night).

This actually reminded me of something in my past, where someone got to abuse my trust. He asked something of me and said that he wouldn't tell anyone and right the next day in school he shouted it out but i could get everyone to not belief him. Still, he used it to blackmail me for months. And not to mention I was only eight back then and didn't know how to help myself while i am now 14. I only told my mother when i finally realised after like 4 months or more that it wasn't alright and damaging me each day more and more. One of my friends back then actually wanted to quit the friendship because I didn't have any time for her. My trust has been abused so much in the past, but my friends that I have now,help me to somehow repair it a bit and I am glad to have them, even though I never told them about this case and I probably never will since it's already a few years in the past and it doesn't weight on me that heavy anymore. Still they listened to me when i told them about another thing. This was the point when it helped to regain atleast some trust in the people around me and to not be so closed up. But to even tell them it took me for one like three years to get to know and trust her and the over one one year and a half i think. Nonetheless, both are really great friends and I trust them even more now. And this song is really good! Another Masterpiece. Keep going 'cause you lighten up the days of so many people (including me😅) and you are really good. Soooooo as I said: Keep Going!!!!☺️ Edit: WHAT?! over 50 likes. Thnx!!!

This song nearly brought me to tears. I'm still working through the effects of my previous relationship, and the abuse that she put me through will probably haunt me for years. She was hurting me so much that it physically made me sick, to the point where I felt just as tired as the previous night after getting over 8 hours of sleep. I was constantly nauseated, stressed and unhappy. I know she hasn't lost any sleep over it and refuses to recognize what she did to me. I know it has left a still-bleeding scar much deeper than I have ever had before, after I had given her everything I had. Thankfully my current partner is nothing but understanding of what I've been through, and that the damage that was done will take time to heal. Damn, this is so accurate. I gave my everything and felt abandoned and betrayed when I needed the most. It took me YEARS of therapy with it's ups and downs to overcome depresion and self hate. Fortunately I feel fine now and now I don't wish him bad, but there were times I've felt as described in this song. This is not the only one I relate. I've descovered this band a few days ago and I love it. Almost all songs I've heard from you guys describe my darkest moments so congratulations. If someday I could see you live I would. You know so much more than the average because of the cruel things you experienced at such a young age. You can show the world, what you think of it for treating you like this. You are so much more than your foster parents believed in and so much more than you believe. Wounds become scars and your voice becomes a choir. And never forget, that you and your brother both deserve the whole world, but the world just don't deserve you.

I've found your group not much ago but I've already listened to all of your songs. I'm amazed for the meaning you often put behind your lines, it really hit me like a brick sometimes because it manage to reach my heart like just some others few songs did before. I also really like your style and that's why you've quickly achived one of the first places in my personal top ten of favourite singers. So far, two of your songs that I liked the most are: Let it Burn and Never Good Enough. They moved me because I really found myself in what the lyrics said. I wish you will keep on doing songs like this because, at least from my point of view, sometimes it's hard to find them. You're amazing, keep going and never give up. :)

To the woman who got me to trust her and got MANY second chances over our relationship. She got me attached and showed up at my doorstep Christmas day announcing to my family she was pregnant. Told me i was the father. She ended up Sleeping with my best friend behind my back and admitted she lied to me about the baby. Walked into the Supermarket drunk as hell WHILE pregnant with the baby while two other guys were with her. When the baby was born she started doing drugs again and would start running around with random guys she eventually lost custody of the child for drug use. spread rumors online about me, causing most of my friends to hate me. Eventually making me have to stray from the one game i actually played for an escape of all the shit that happened. i Built a wall of trust for her around my heart and she tore it down like it was nothing. Showed me that it was foolish to trust. Every day i think about whether or not i was the one mistaken, if anything i did led to those things happening, i was losing sleep. while she's living her life Full of drug use.before it was rare for me to even sleep. now i can sleep but Its still rare for me to get a good sleep ever since then. Everyone just tells me to "move on. Forget about what happened." Its not that easy to just. "Move on". Each experience of stuff like that i different,making the "Moving on" process different for everyone. For some people it can happen as fast as a day or a week. some a few months. Some people it may take Years. Sad to say it but i think its gonna be a few years before i can get over how badly i was fucked over. because right now its been over 6 months. and it still haunts me to this day of all the shit i fell for. Out of all that shit i lost a couple good friends. Gained a few good ones too from the times i vented. My best friend and my brother stayed by my side through it all. Though i was just too blind to see that they were looking out for me. If either of you read this. I'm sorry for my ignorance. this is the part of the lyrics that hit me the most deep. "You make me sick. You don't lose any sleep. I have to live with this." it gives me a reminder of it all. Not in a bad way though. just a reminder that next time i won't be so blind and fall for it so easily. and i'll listen to my family if they warn me about anything.

wow, a whole community of people who feel the same way that I do. I let her Wreck my heart for years. 20 years constantly giving and giving and giving, she was like my sister. watched me cry over my father's death bed. drove 100 miles just to see her when she moved. gave her sanctuary when the world was against her. gave her a place to sleep when she found herself fighting her demons. how foolishly committed I was to a bond I thought would never break, over and over she'd just explode, say terrible things to me. the one on her side.always leaving me to wonder if there had been another way I could have handled it. this last time, she took advantage of me. then made me out to be this terrible person to so many people. she truly made me feel like I simply cannot trust anyone. I even pushed away what few friends I did have.
