Pls don't mind me I'm just gonna put this lyrics here. Flatline, a breath away I was born with one foot in the grave Been to hell and back Dealt a real bad hand, but I live with that I've learned to face my darkness Now I embrace my doubt Don't go and plan my funeral Don't go and count me out (Don't go and count me out) Living on a razor's edge Danced with demons, tasted death I've lost wars inside my head But hallelujah, I'm not dead Won't be waiting on my hearse Pain's a gift, it ain't a curse My heart still beats, my blood's still red Hallelujah, I'm not dead Hallelujah, I'm not dead Hallelujah Hallelujah Wake up, another fight Am I the victim or the homicide? What's in my head left scars behind Every step is an uphill climb I've learned to live in shadows Even without the light I've learned to love the battles Only the strong survive (Only the strong survive) Living on a razor's edge Danced with demons, tasted death I've lost wars inside my head But hallelujah, I'm not dead Won't be waiting on my hearse Pain's a gift, it ain't a curse My heart still beats, my blood's still red Hallelujah, I'm not dead Hallelujah, I'm not dead So if you're black and blue And feeling so abused No, it don't make you damaged It makes you living proof That you are so much more Than all this hell you've known Remember this What doesn't kill you is what builds your throne Living on a razor's edge Danced with demons, tasted death I've lost wars inside my head But hallelujah, I'm not dead Won't be waiting on my hearse Pain's a gift, it ain't a curse My heart still beats, my blood's still red Hallelujah, I'm not dead Living on a razor's edge Danced with demons, tasted death I've lost wars inside my head But hallelujah, I'm not dead Won't be waiting on my hearse Pain's a gift, it ain't a curse My heart still beats, my blood's still red Hallelujah, I'm not dead Hallelujah, I'm not dead

Okay this song hits me hard for a different reason. It’s the more literal of the lyrics, I have several heart defects and have nearly died due to them several times. Some doctors even told my parents that I wouldn’t make it but they never gave up on me. Now days I no longer suffer physically my health is much more improved but my mental health is another story. I’ve been struggling with depression for a few years now and a few months ago my mother passed away and so my suicidal thoughts have gotten a lot worse. I found this band in my recommendations one day while searching for songs to make a Star Wars edit to, and I think my mom did this because every single one of your songs is something I can relate to some way or another and the type of music is my favorite as well. Your music has been making this difficult time for me much easier to cope with so thank you for making these songs.

"Remember this what doesn't kill you is what builds your throne." This particular line really stands out to me because of how well it is written. I've certainly not had an easy life, since I've had it bred into my brain that I wasn't good enough for anyone, especially since a couple of my exes left me for another girl. That kind of stuff kills you inside, and it makes you never want to believe that you could be something more than what they said. I don't feel like I am quite ready to celebrate my life, though. I've always felt like I was not meant for love or happiness, but meant to give it to others instead. I've never lived for myself, and still don't know how to do that. Plus, my emotions are much more intense than others, and not knowing how to deal with that pain makes me suicidal.

In my opinion try to make her feel love in her last hours and show her this song to give her a bit of joy that she survived this long, but with her daughter i really dont know, thats a hard question, u could tell her a brief info on whats happening even tho shes really young and tell her to stay by her moms side till the end and give her time to say things to her mom, she will probably say "i love u and im gonna miss u" etc, after her mother passes away tell her to fight and overcome every obstacle(s) in her way show momma that shes just as strong as her, but if u dont tell her this, tell her at least something like this “Momma will always be with her strong little girl, momma is never to far away, she'll always be listening to her baby even tho shes fully grown" if its possible buy something for your sister in law to give to her daughter a bear, plushy etc so that her daughter can in a way hug her mother after she gone Hopefully this never happens and ur sister in law gets better and recovers from this, good luck

Then a couple days. Then this last time was about 36 hrs home then she had to go back to the hospital. I hope she gets better too but the doctors have given her only a few months. But shit man, she just keeps beating the odds. She is so strong lol. I'm bewildered by everything. I really am. She has quite a few things her mom has bought her to remember her by. It was so cute. My older niece from my brothers first wife, the wee one and her, V (my sister in law), she got the 3 of them a necklace set. This song SLAPS! Not many songs are so good and catchy that I'm singing along halfway into my first listen and that's what I'm doing on my first listen. I'm already singing it like I've heard it a million times already This track is fire!!! Most songs I need to listen to a few times to decide if I love it or like it. But this song has me completely hooked on my first fucking listen. I see this song being one of your biggest hits

This is the music i needed, I've lost my dad, and my uncle was found dead on my birthday, i almost lost my mom, she's currently in hospital, and we live far from a hospital, and my mom needs to be near one, so i had to leave home, and stay with my sister in another city, my brother had to leave to California for school, and i can barely get a hold of my best friend. It's been so chaotic, i also have to leave the people i know, and get used to a completely different school, with completely different celebrations. And i won't get to continue learning my culture. (I'm Native American) And I'm not in a school, and i have to watch all tree of my nephews and my niece. I've lost so much recently and even my own free time, you guys make the best music i know. this helps more than you understand! Thank you!

My best friend Foster showed this to me and told me to read the description. I could not be more grateful for this. What happened to me didn't kill me, it just made me stronger and this song gives that message. Most teens my age don't really appreciate music like this. Mostly, they like rap and music like that. And each to their own but this, music like this keeps me going.

However I have come to be blessed with friends who have been supportive of my illness and because of that I am not dead

I don't know if anyone will read this but I just wanna share it and continue listening to this amazing song. I was always bullied by people around me. For some reason, no one tried to be friends with me, or talk to me like I'm a normal person. I was always lonely and developed anxiety and depression throughout my life, feeling useless, worthless, nothing but someone who doesn't deserve to live and feeling like I'm disappointing even the people that doesn't know me. I don't know what Am I living for, why do I continue and why was I born in the first place? I feel like my place isn't here, that I'm not worth to even breath but when I think of dying, leaving everything behind, I'm scared. I'm scared of making my family suffer when it's all my fault I feel like this. Truth is, no one wants to die for real, we just want to feel happy, just a little time when we don't have to worry about every little thing, when we don't have to cry and feel guilty, when we would smile and be happy. We just want everything to be over, either the loss of someone or the feeling of being wortless because the people around you don't care at all, we all have scars we just can't forget. I always thought I'm alone, but I see so many people sharing stories and realize I'm not the only one and maybe I'm not someone who can say this but just... don't give up. Even if you feel like there is no tomorrow, like your world is crashing down and you have no place to hide, there are always better times and a good future that is waiting for you, you just have to be strong and face the world, cry if you want, do things that at least used to give you happiness and find someone to listen to you. It's always gonna be something for you, so... Believe in yourself, in the person you are and try to love yourself! ❤ I may not know you, but I love you, I know you're a strong person, a kind and amazing person and can do everything you dream for!

Personally you sound like someone I'd be friends with tho I'm very introverted irl so I'm not one to actually go up and talk to random people irl. I was one where I had to be introduced into a friend group. I will admit that if I saw you wearing let's say a star wars shirt I'd try to imitate the convo first as if I see we have a common interest I'd be more embolden(I don't know if that's the right word to use but it feels like it) to actually talk to someone

I discovered this amazing song when my best friend showed me the ringtone he had for whenever I called. When I listened to the whole song, I noticed how much I could really relate to the lyrics. Almost 9 years ago, on December 26th, I attempted to OD on a muscle relaxer. I ended up unconscious, unresponsive, and unable to breathe on my own. I was rushed to a hospital and had to be on a ventilator for a week. Every time they tried to take me off or decrease the amount of breaths it was giving me, I stopped breathing completely. If I hadn't told my mom that I even took the pills, I would not be here. Your songs are amazing and I can relate to a lot of them. You are the first band to ever accomplish that for me. I'm so thankful that I found your music, especially when I needed it the most. Please don't ever stop writing your songs and blessing us with your amazing talents ❤️

I wanna say thank you for making this song. Recently I moved out from my family’s house - it was a situation that I didn’t even know how bad it was or how bad it kept getting until I had the space and genuinely good people around me to finally feel like I could breathe again. Every day I learn more about how messed up my whole life’s been, but now I have a good job and rent a good house all far younger than I ever imagined I’d be. I never thought I’d make it past 16 - I didn’t think I could bear to live that long - but it’s been more than a few years since then and I’m still alive. In fact I love my life; something I never really thought was possible before, and it’s songs like these that helped me get through it when I was too scared and needed the support I couldn’t get from anyone else. Don’t ever forget you’ve changed lives ;

In a few hours, it will be two years since you gave us this song. I have a story that isn't really mine to tell. You see, the day this song came out, I listened to it quite a few times, then a messaged my friend, and asked her if it was OK if she heard your song, then pass it onto her son. He was 18, and was born with practically half a heart, and his life was in most ways like the words in your song. Until recently I never really comprehended what your song was for her son, he quoted it, he listened to it, sung to it, and used it as one of his songs as his casket left his memorial, just over a month later. I still have this song in my play list, but I do not attribute this song for any negative, but as the greatest positive for one person in their final days. Thank you very much for this song.

It’s been months, actually, no, it’s soon going to be nearly a year since I recovered from unwanted suicidal thoughts. During that time, I felt so low, and even came close to thinking of trying to harm myself several times. But now, I’m MUCH better. Though I’m not supposed to see it like this, it certainly felt like I went to living hell and back. To those who are still struggling with their mental health, don’t give up. You can get out of that dark place. It’s not going to happen instantly, but it *will* happen. And don’t try to do it alone. Be brave, and get help from others. If they’re not willing, find others who are. To those who have gotten past major hurdles involving their mental health, congrats! I’m glad that you did whatever it was that you did to get out of that low place you were in. The scars, whether emotional, mental, or physical still remain, but... you should think of them as proof that you survived whatever happened to you now. And of course, this may not be the end of your struggles, but whatever comes next, stand strong in the face of it.

Your words hit very close to home. I've danced with demons inside my head for a long time, and lost many battles. I've came close to cutting my own life early 2020, but I've lived through and I'm getting stronger by the days, weeks, and month. Hell is certainly not a home, it is a stop in the long list of places that we go through life, and even though it can be so horrible, so hard on ourselves, so unbearable, if we get through it, it definitely makes one stronger. Your songs really spoke to me, and I'm glad this one does too and makes me want to push forward even more. For all the people out there still living through hell, whichever form it took, stay strong ! One day you will get through the rain of fire, and you will find yourself so much more than all the pain you've endured. Thank you Citizen Soldier, for yet another wonderful, catchy and very much truthful song.
