When I was six, my daddy died. It was sudden, out of nowhere. He never told my mom that he had heart trouble, so she didn't know until she had to call the ambulance a few minutes before me and my little sister got back from school. We were getting off the bus as they were putting him in the ambulance. He would've lived if they had found the medicine they needed, but something happened and it was gone. He was gone. Before I ever got to know him, he was gone. That left me with anxiety so severe that I can't even talk to someone without thinking about what would happen if they just died one day. That's one of my greatest fears and the cause of most of my panic attacks. I've spent full nights from ten PM to seven AM having one long, continuous panic attack being terrified that my mom and my sisters would be gone when I got out of bed the next morning. This song pretty much describes what I feel in some of my attacks. Thank you so much for making it, and thank you for bothering to read your comments, even if you don't get to mine. I love you guys

I tend to dwell in the past and the shit I've done. But nowadays, it feel like an endless cycle I feel as if I can escape. I don't like asking for help because I HATE to burden others, but I'm the one who always takes the burden from others. I'm always volunteering for stuff on my own free will, so I help draw my mind away from those memories. That's one reason why I play video games. It helps keep my mind off of the bad memories, and the good ones too. I've commented on your pieces music video so you have a good general idea of what I don't want to remember sometimes. So, this is my first ever time listening to something by Citizen Soldier, and I have to say... wow. This couldn't have been better timing! This last month has been rough for me, medically. I have a lot of anxiety towards my health right now, with a real potential of something being really wrong with me. I have to go for tests, but because of the pandemic, they've been delayed by a month (even with me at the top of the list). During this last year, I've finally learned to let go of the past (I hope!), but in the last month, I've found myself consumed by the future. And while I've been trying to be mindful of the present, this song was definitely a wake-up call for me! I don't know what will happen when I get my tests done. Maybe my life will go back to normal. Maybe it will change forever. But right now, I've been gifted this precious present moment. And I don't want to take that for granted any longer! So thank you for this song and this reminder that life is, indeed, precious.

This song is a straight banger! And speaks the truth. My grandma passed away on friday april 3rd of this year after a 2 year battle with lung cancer. Though our current situation sucks I'm glad it enabled me to spend time with her that I wasn't able to the last few years due to my work schedule. The only thing I wish is that I was there when she died but unfortunately I was at work because I didn't expect her to leave so soon. At least she knew I loved her.

I don't know if anyone will read this but I just wanna share it and continue listening to this amazing song. I was always bullied by people around me. For some reason, no one tried to be friends with me, or talk to me like I'm a normal person. I was always lonely and developed anxiety and depression throughout my life, feeling useless, worthless, nothing but someone who doesn't deserve to live and feeling like I'm disappointing even the people that doesn't know me. I don't know what Am I living for, why do I continue and why was I born in the first place? I feel like my place isn't here, that I'm not worth to even breath but when I think of dying, leaving everything behind, I'm scared. I'm scared of making my family suffer when it's all my fault I feel like this. Truth is, no one wants to die for real, we just want to feel happy, just a little time when we don't have to worry about every little thing, when we don't have to cry and feel guilty, when we would smile and be happy. We just want everything to be over, either the loss of someone or the feeling of being wortless because the people around you don't care at all, we all have scars we just can't forget. I always thought I'm alone, but I see so many people sharing stories and realize I'm not the only one and maybe I'm not someone who can say this but just... don't give up. Even if you feel like there is no tomorrow, like your world is crashing down and you have no place to hide, there are always better times and a good future that is waiting for you, you just have to be strong and face the world, cry if you want, do things that at least used to give you happiness and find someone to listen to you. It's always gonna be something for you, so... Believe in yourself, in the person you are and try to love yourself! ❤ I may not know you, but I love you, I know you're a strong person, a kind and amazing person and can do everything you dream for!

Oh. my. God. You guys seriously made me shed a tear. I am the youngest of my siblings (nearly 17yo) and my parents are both near their 60s. The line about not taking who I love for granted, because I might regret it really hit me hard. Lately I have been thinking about my future, about the inevitable death of both of them, and about the time I wasted (and still waste) arguing about small things and not caring enough. And the worst thing? I can't change it, it's almost like my daily routine. And I am really lucky, because my mom might be strict, sometimes annoying, but neither her or my dad EVER hit me for something I've done, nor did they give me any punishment that outgrown what I did. And maybe the fact that my mom almost never lets me visit any of my friend's house seems like a bad thing, but thanks to that I don't feel the effects of this quarantine. Oh Lord, that was quite a confession. I really love that song, it has a POWERFUL message an great sound to support it. I will have it in every single playlist. Love you guys and can't wait for more 🖤

I feel the same way in my own life. My parents are reaching their 80s and I just hit 31this year. I've had a rocky relationship with them for as far back as high school. I moved out only two years ago (not for lack of trying, mind you) and I find myself thinking of them a lot, calling them and keeping them up to date on all the little things in my life. I frequently look back and wish that I'd cherished my youth more, especially my parents, and how crappy of a kid I was. All I can do now is move forward and remember my past mistakes, and enjoy my time with them now that we've finally started healing all our old wounds.

My grandmother's two year death anniversary is next week and just found out today that my grandpa is in the middle stage of alzheimer's. These past two years have been such a struggle for me. Between losing my grandma, my dad, and now taking care of my grandpa and watching him change into someone I don't know...it just hurts, but your music helps me get through it. I'm still not okay. Thinking of my grandma hurts so bad sometimes I can't stand it, and now to be losing my grandpa in such a way, it's just agonizing. This song really helps me to remember, though, that no matter how bad it gets, at least he's still alive, he's here and I still have time with him and that is sacred to me. You music truly helps me when nothing else can and it makes a difference in my life. I wanted you to know that. Thank you, Citizen Soldier, for the music you put out. You have no idea what it means to me.
