I hope you're selling a lot of them and making some money but you're probably doing it more for the enjoyment of it.

The issue I've had with RST Guide forks is they are very soft and have the least amount of travel of almost any suspension fork, all sizes. Cruising on the road is no problem but any serious bumps or any off road I bottom out badly. I think you just had a bad set of Himalo forks. I love the RST Guide quality I just wish they were not so soft and limited travel.

Should've put the controller where the water bottle screws are and used the screws to hold it on. I don't think it would've looked bad and you could probably make the controller look like a water bottle somehow. Take the guts of the controller out of it's shell/housing and place it in an aluminum water bottle. Do they make cylinder shaped controllers?

You could put all the stuff in one bag and not need any display out of the bag once it is turned on. Another thing I have never seen on my bike is the motor still running after I release the throttle. I probably won't use a cut off for brake levers.

@CitizenCycle9259 ай бұрын

@Goesriding9 ай бұрын
Definitely should have gotten rid of the step thru instead of the cruiser. I put a front motor on the cruiser set up and shunt modded the controllers. I can go 42mph throttle only top speed, 35mph uphill. One thing i would say about the 2 seperate throttles, I first agreed it should be seperate throttles but after using awhile, i realized 1 throttle is the way to go as long as you can change power settings like PAS on the front motor and even turning it off on the seperate display. That way you choose when to turn on the front and how much power while one throttle controlls exactly how much twist you want. This also allows you to find and set the throttle power to be almost exactly same fir both motors. Downfall of 2 throttle is that you wont have atleast 1 hand holding tight on the bike, you have to manually twist both throttles that have different controll points on the throttle causing different power outputs and sometimes jolty power caused by rider shifting by terrain. This tedious controll can cause both hands fatigue. @CitizenCycle925
@Goesriding9 ай бұрын
I also realized that using 2 throttles for somereason makes me forget to pedal, too many controll actions to be comfortably pedaling I guess? I am now gonna add 52t front and 11t-34t rear to add top speed hopefully now I can add pedaling. @@CitizenCycle925

45 amp controller at 52 volts nominal so a 2300 watt peak motor.... guessing the "750" watts is for legal reasons. because I doubt the continuous current of that controller is only 15 amps. And i thought the 27+/- 2 amp 48 volts for 1400 watts my bike sends to it's front (and rear, each) was powerful.

Citizen, I’m a 55 year old big man (6’2” 385lbs) who’s ready to buy his first e-bike, I’m very interested in purchasing one of your kit(s). (Hopefully still available) 🙏 Q: Will your kit work with either of the two bikes (below) if I replace the existing front forks with RST Guide forks? 1. The Mokwheel Obsidian Or 2. The Veltronic Discovery2 I chose these e-bikes because they both have a total weight capacity of 400 lbs or more. If applicable and/or still available… …your kit could provide me the extra boost I (may) need to climb up inclines that I couldn’t otherwise climb. I also really appreciate the idea that I can rely on a second (independent) drive to get me home should the other drive fail. I see you did a conversion with the Himiway so I figured maybe you’d do a kit for the Mokwheel Obsidian. I’m holding my breath… …that you’ll do a kit for the new Velotric Discovery2 b/c it’s just under a 3” tire bike, but maybe you’ll surprise me. I’ve studied the design and engineering of both bikes. I’m confident both style of bikes could easily handle a second drive…but maybe I’m wrong. I considered both the Wired Freedom and the 5 Star E-Cells bikes, unfortunately neither bike will support my body weight. I’m absolutely determined to lose the weight, a solid e-bike with the right modifications will help me reach that goal. The key to youth and longevity is to stay active ⚡️🚴 just do it sensibly and safe… Thanks for reading my comment and for doing what you do. I hope to hear back from you soon. Coolwater ⚡️ 🚴💨

@@CitizenCycle925 That’s really great news, thanks for responding so quickly. I watched so many reviews of e-bikes on KZbin that my head is spinning 😵💫… I’m lucky that I found your channel when I did, I was having a hard time deciding which e-bike to buy. To know that I can modify the Obsidian with your kit is all that I needed to know…this has helped me to decide which e-bike to purchase. The Mokwheel and the Velotric both appear to be well designed and well engineered bikes. Because of my weight I need a bike with a front & rear suspension and I much prefer the fat tire…the Mokwheel is definitely the way to go! Q: Have you installed your kit on a Mokwheel Obsidian before, if so Is there a video on KZbin? Forgive me if these are stupid questions… Q: Will the specs of the second battery match with the primary (manufacturers) battery? Q: Has Mokwheel finally designed and released (for sale) a rear cargo bracket for the Obsidian? Q: Do you have any suggestions as to where I can find a rear mount bracket to hold the second battery? Q: Can you send me a link or tell me where to go to purchase the RST Forks. Q: Do you require a deposit before ordering the kit? I have no problem with providing you a deposit 💵…just let me know. Q: Do you know if Mokwheel will sell me any additional parts…such as a second (matching) display and a second battery? One last question…lol ⚡️🚴 Q: I plan to buy an aftermarket (high lumens) headlight for night riding 🌙 …is there a way to attach (via usb or otherwise) the headlight and brake light directly to the primary battery? Thanks again for responding to my comments and questions…. I truly appreciate your support. This means a great deal to me. Last week I rode 4 different e-bike(s) it was a wonderful experience… …until I asked the salesman how much…OMG these guys are ripping people off. … all the bikes I rode were overpriced…way overpriced, they were priced between $5k and $10k! That’s frikkin nuts! With your custom kit I can dial in and upgrade my e-bike exactly where it matters (to me) most! 🔋⚡️🚴💨 ✅
@Tempest4Teapot5 ай бұрын
Citizen… I just watched your video in which you specifically address my previous question(s) pertaining to the battery. Incredibly I somehow missed watching this video…it’s easy to do b/c there’s so so many e-bike reviews on KZbin. I’m sure somebody out there is selling an aftermarket (universal) rear cargo bracket that will fit the Mokwheel Obsidian. On a side note… I looked at the Himiway e-bikes to see how they compared to the Mokwheel. The Himiway D7 Pro has a 400lb weight capacity as does the Himiway D7 Cobra 🐍… …but the frickin Cobra today is priced (on Sale 😂) at just $3,599.00 Holy Cow 🐮 at these prices I may need to consider looking back at E-Cells production. The website keeps changing (a good thing) that’s capitalism! Competition is always best for the consumer. I noticed the latest version of the Triple Crown now supports a 400lb weight capacity. No doubt I need to spend more time comparing e-bikes… If you don’t see exactly what you’re looking for just spend some time letting these manufacturers know… Trust in knowing somebody out there from corporate is reading your comments… I’m still down with your upgrade kit…just please let me know when it’s available. ⚡️🚴💨 Happy Trails…
