Thank you for sharing. laurel seemed to made big investments in round abouts, which, once you are used to them, move traffic much faster than signaled intersections. It seemed the downtown on Central was vibrant. Lots of cities, Laurel’s size are blighted downtown, but this seems in better shape. It was great seeing the Amtrak Crescent on the move. Took the old Southern Crescent back in the sixties through Laurel.

They've really got that historic downtown area under control. You get outside of that area, and there's some blight, but not nearly as much as I expected to see.

Laurel Mississippi looks like a nice town. Home of the HGTV show, Hometown. They renovates many houses for various families.

I was wondering the same thing. I guess they don’t have a law against that there. As I was editing the video, I had to double check to see if I had driven the wrong way down a one way street.

@@504RoadTrips I live in Laurel. People can park however they want when parallel parking. Some of the streets are one way and getting in and out depending on traffic can be difficult. Some of the roads you went down used to be strictly one way. When they put the roundabouts in it has confused residents because we have been so used to the way it was for years. Living here isnt that great either. There is nothing to do especially for the younger generation. The elderly seem to like it because of downtown shopping, but unless you got buckets of money the average Joe cant afford shopping downtown.
