Oh just saw this. What a shame. This video is always my go to when I wake up in the middle of the night. I live alone in a very quiet suburb so the people noises at the start, slowly getting less and less helps me sleep.

Rain in the city ahhhh. i love hearing the sound of tires running over water, horns beeping, people yelling to each other, trucks backing up, voices holloring taxi! wind blowing a cluster of rain making it fall harder, thunder and lightening, all the while the rain keeps coming. its so beautiful. very relaxing

This is very nice. My grandmother had a house in the central city - used to stay there all the time. I'd leave the window open every night to listen to the city. I'd be freezing and snotty nosed in the morning, but this sound was just so... I don't know how to describe it. That house is gone now, after an Earthquake damaged my city. Some hundreds died and the life of the city is gone along with this sound. This brings me back to those nights, some nights it would be chilly, and others it would be balmy.

I honestly don't know why this is relaxing. I've never lived in the city. I think my love for city noises started when I was at work with mother. it was super late at night. we where in Savannah, Georgia. I found a quiet place with 4 windows. Not gonna dislike it, but I don't like this. Can't figure out why but it's giving me extreme anxiety instead of being relaxing. First one I've listened to that's done that. I sorta feel like there's something in the background.... maybe music.. I'd like to listen further and try to figure it out but honestly, I feel like it's going to cause a panic attack. It's a strange experience. I listen to rain, thunderstorms, and some city sounds often to sleep, even have a playlist for ones that have worked best. This one seems to have its own class, not sure what it is.

Native New Yorker missing the rain, and sounds of the city here in Florida. Those rainy days in the city rushing to work, going out to a diner, catching a cab. There isn't another video out there that helps relax me enough to sleep at night. I've tried dozens of videos in every category of white noise and none of them did anything to help. This is literally the only video I've found that works for me. I take prescription meds to help my insomnia and sleep problems but this helps relax me initially and i notice a real difference in my ability to fall asleep as quickly if I don't have it playing.

I live in a city but I guess you could say I'm on the suburbs. Some nights when I have my window open, I hear everything from sirens to rain storms. However, some nights I hear nothing but a breeze every now and then. For someone, like me, who suffers from tinnitus at the age of 18, this helps so much. I often fall asleep to music but alas, the last few weeks it's distracted me and my mind has never shut off. I think that's because of my lack of using it. Summer holidays turn into under productive late nights and late afternoons. I need to get my life back on track. God forbid I end up like this at university. Good night, God Bless.

That would be awesome, but what I have done is make a playlist that combines a variety of brad's awesome pieces. pieces. Then you just press play at the beginning and it should keep going for as many hours as you have in the playlist. You could also put this one on the playlist four times for example if you wanted it to be eight hours. I know sometimes people don't like loops but since you'll be asleep for most of it…

This is my all time fav and standard go to for sleep. There is something so distinctive about sounds in a city. Once worked in customer service where we took calls from all over the world. No matter the time of shift, Could always tell by back ground noise if someone was phoning from a big city. Excellent job.

this makes me want to paint, and I feel like I need to describe it so I will, its the evening, its just starting to get dark, still light out, its raining out obviously and your this person or you with a rain coat on doesn't matter the colour, your next to a store, bakery you can smell the aroma of the baked goods, you have no money so that what you go off by, or you do, your choice, you text someone to see if they want any and have money with them and they say yes, but now you have to wait, you see a bench to the next of you, and next to that an alleyway, you decide to go sit down or lie down, any way you want is good, you look to see the street not so busy, few people walking Here and there, cars driving by as you watch and then you close you're eyes, and you listen, you heat the sounds of footsteps in the rain, you hear the cars go threw puddles, the rain that falls threw the drains in the always and on to the big garbage box that sits on the side, you take in that aroma of the bakery goods and you just live that moment, you take that moment in to be maybe the best memory of your day, and then you hear a honk, you look up to see its whoever you texted, and you smile or not, again up to you and you and that friend go inside the bakery and enjoy whatever pastry you like with a cup of tea. .. the end
