Two new civs were recently added to Civilization 6, including the glorious Byzantium! The Byzantines are an exceptionally powerful nation, using religious conversion to boost an aggressive military playstyle. If played correctly, this might just be a top-tier civ and I'm looking forward to exploring its capabilities in Deity mode!

part of your problem was you faffed around with the warrior which essentially did nothing where it could of threatened the barb camp you sent your slingers too, also building double slingers wasted time where you could of gotten a monument a lot earlier and then a granary, a single slinger with a warrior would of been enough if you'd plugged in the bonus v's barbs card a lot earlier rather than recon experience so that cost you a lot too, you also should of changed from godking as soon as you'd gotten the early pantheon that also cost you production and ergo time.

Hey pravus there is a setting that you should have on as it shows your and everyone else’s output for there culture,science,faith,gold,diplomatic points and military strength if you want it on go to interference on the game setting to show yields in hub ribbon and turn it on to always show and it should work

I am also playing since part 1 and the best part was civ 4 BTS. It is the part with the most depth and complexity. However, the unit stacking is the feature I miss the least. It just led to death stack clashing without any military depth.

Pravus, having units in another nation's territory has NO negative effects. If you have a lot of units, the AI will ask you if you're about to attack them, but if you say no, there is no negative effect.

Holy site prayers are a great way to generate great prophet points. Also Its great if you can get like 4 hippodromes to finish immediately after divine right, try prebuilding them to 1 turn and then swapping off them.

StivKobra I haven’t finished the video so I’m not 100% sure, but often times city projects aren’t worth it in Civ6 unless your doing the one for the science victory.

@@nine552 When you want to rush religion, especially as Byzantium, it's 100% worth it. You can snowball as Byzantium like that, being the first one with the religion and denying holy sites by fast conquest.

@@nine552 Rounding out on Deity mode is a death sentence. You need to push hard towards your respective victory type, all or nothing. Besides, there's a limit on how many religions there can be per game. If he doesn't hurry up, he won't get a religion at all. Byzantium abilities work if you have founded a religion.

Had to leave when you didn't take Crusade - which is required for Basil II synergy. Without it you are playing without your best tool.

As I read it, you do not *need* to found a religion. The rules only say "the same Religion", not "the religion founded by Byzantium". If anything, adpoting someone elses religion would start you with a bunch of targets where the bonuses already apply...

20:15 Sacrificing a warrior to destroy a Barbarian *Spawner* is a viable trade. You do not just kill one Barabar, but all future barabars that would come from that spawner! 21:50 Mind the wording here. Trade Routes that *end* in the Capitol give Food to their *origin* city. If works if you send many traderoutes from your colonies to your Capitol, wich can be a viable strategy. It is the "internal Trade" meta. But it might also incentivise the AI to send more Trade Routes to your capitol (more yields). 22:35 I would think for a Conversion playthrough it is a must. How can it be more tempting then a "must have"?

@16:30 you got that extra governor title from early empire civic. And for the great prophet points, it updates on the next turn, i.e. u had 3 from the holy site + shrine, u just finished the new holy site, u'll see the points added next turn. Tbh I'm seeing too many mistakes for a deity player. You're also too slow to settle. I'm guessing Civ is not your main game? Don't mean to be rude but I'm just being honest
